pikes are by far my favourite way to fight but trying It on alex they get into combat with a unit of levy pikes and the levies walk through my silvershields everytime

so on which of the three exe. do pikes old their formation best?

To me it seems, as if the pike formation with the bigger depth can brake up the thinner pike line (but only if several units are pushing, not if one unit is up against one unit). The AI recently tried to focus its strength on a specific spot in my battle line and attacking my one unit deep pike-line with several pike units, and they just went through like butter with their inferior pike units. (on alex)

okay so alex but with thicker lines thanks everyone it was difficult playing when my pikes collapsed before flanking could happen
