Default Bribing Generals like in Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Hi, I understand that in the total war series it's only possible to recruit enemy generals through bribing (aka an exorbitant amount of money), which is even impossible at times due to fealty.
Is there a way to create a system where you can capture enemy generals after you defeat them, and slowly bribe them to your cause like in the Koei games?
An enjoyable part of those games included being able to, at some point, have most of the famous generals under your command, i feel like killing all of them in this mod would be such a shame.

    Thanks!

It might be possible, but it is certainly something that I have never seen in a TW mod. I do know that if it can be done, barring hardcodes and engine limitations, it would require a significant amount of complex scripting. I'll take a look into it and see if it is even possible.

It might have been the original Medieval Total War, but the engine limitations and hardcodes between M1 and M2 are significantly different; just because it works for one, doesn't mean it can work for the other. I am looking into this as we speak, and I have theories on how it could work, but it all depends on said engine limitations and hardcodes.

i know about the hardcode differences and i understnd what can work in one game but not another , i was just saying that i thought it was done in the past, but it seems tht since M2TW seems to be the most mod able out of all the engines , maybe it is possible
