Please Read:
Announcement Today I've done quiet a lot of formatting to make this tool ready to roll. Now as the tool is ready to use I need the support of the sub modders and users to provide the content we look for. Believe me this takes quiet a lot of work to compile all this IF done by only one person. Therefore I would like to make a few announcements to make this as painless as possible:
1. Feedback about the tool itself: Please feel free to leave your suggestions, feedback and issues (mistakes, broken links or just typos) in this thread. I will do my best to improve your (and my) experience of this tool to make this drop-in centre as beneficial as possible to everybody.
2. Requests for new Sub Mods: Feel free to post your requests for Sub Mods into this forum as well. I am sure we will find a way to present them and hope that sub modders will find something they would like as well and do it if their free time allows it.
3. Adding / Suggesting Sub Mods: Please do not just suggest to add Sub Mod X or Y leaving me the work to compile and research those mods, but use this formate ready to copy / paste:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:Template for Additions:
e.g. Tweaks > Campaign Tweaks
Name + for DeI (if specifically made for DeI)/ Name (Compatible with DeI) (if compatible with DeI)
Author
e.g. alecwermuth
Effects
e.g. brief description like changes turns per year on the grande campaign
Full Notes
e.g. TWC Link with extensive description of the changes and forum discussions*
Versions
e.g. Steam Link with different or "tweaked" versions if multiple are available:
Sub Mod X Version 1: e.g. changes turns per year to 4
Sub Mod X Version 2: e.g. changes turns per year to 8
Sub Mod X Version 3: e.g. changes turns per year to 12
*!Please for the sake of usability take the time to tell us what you did!
e.g. Whats your vision on the mod? / What does your mod do to achieve it? / Which tables did you use (optional as we can see them when we open it in PFM, but still nice)? / What did you change there? / Why did you change it? / Any historical research or sources that underly your work --> Yes people tend to 1. identify with mods more if they understand what they do and what their background is, 2. it is interesting to read & fully understand the effects in game) and 3. make it easier for people to "tweak" those sub-mods and create more "preference" versions of those. I will do an example once my first sub mod is ready to roll out. As I like to give people the freedom to do what they feel is right, I would like (at least hypothetically) to have at least a minimal consent on a standardized way to present mods as described above.
Once I've receive those I will do a quick verification and if everything is good copy / paste it into this thread.
Thanks for your patience guys.
Cheers
Alec
