Icon3 Baleur SweetFX (Colourful and Bright) - Updated 12/02

I always felt a bit dreary of the usual GEM / SweetFX presets which favored either excessively movie-style filters or excessive history-style filters.
Real-life was not black and white or sepia toned back then.
I wanted something a bit brighter, something with more color but without having pitch black shadows and contrast making it hard to see units. Something natural but colorful.
Now, first off i'd like to say that my preset only looks half as good as it did back before patch 8, with Mech_Donald's nohdr & contrast / saturation fix mod.
Today we do not have this luxury, we're stuck with only the HDR removal, without the contrast and color balance fixes we had in the past.

I hope someone out there likes this SweetFX preset, now for screenshot bonanza!
I included plenty of different scenes, with the UI and campaign map because i feel those are important factors in judging which preset to use full-time.

    Download: SweetFX Baleur 1.2.rar
Just extract the files straight into your Rome 2 folder.

    Changelog
1.2 - Repackaged to be standalone, no longer requires you to first install GEM (since it doesn't use GEM specific stuff anyway), let me know if it works.
1.1 - Slightly desaturated it, slightly less contrast (we're talking a percent or two).

    Hotkeys
    Num Lock - On/Off
The 1st button next to Num Lock - Reload SweetFX
The 2nd button next to Num Lock - Screenshot (placed in your Rome 2 dir)

    Screenshots
(v1.0, slightly less saturated in v1.1)

Heavily edited to return to my previous (unuploaded) preset which i liked far better. No color distortions, no messing about. Pure blooded colors and beauty.

No point in making a thread for a preset, I've done 9 different presets and always posted them on the gem thread.
Good luck with your presets btw =)

I saw Doktor1's thread so i figured it was "socially acceptable" here since his preset was fairly popular, haha

Checking this out, I noticed your SweetFX_preset.txt file does not include the GEM_settings.txt reference, so are you skipping his file all together on purpose and just using your SweetFX_settings.txt without his GEM_settings.txt?

Oh and I have to turn on FXAA in your file, too rough without some AA, even FXAA.

You are using sweetFX 1.4? Why not the latest one?

I am using the latest dll's and all that with GEM (i could just package them in here, but GEM is a simple and easy installer so..).
However the preset was built on the older settings file. I just didn't change the "Version 1.4" description in the SweetFX_Settings.txt
I am using it with the very latest GEM/SweetFX dll's, so don't worry about the 1.4 in the description field of the settings file.
Granted it lacks some new sections like the Explosion filter (which could just be pasted in tbh), but since i don't utilize it that makes no difference if they are there or not.

And yes AstroCat, i am excluding GEM_Settings.txt
I've got FXAA forced in my control panel (nicer results) so i forgot that some people might want it enabled in the settings, feel free to edit
