CA Developer Icon Modding Summit and related discussion

    Hey Guys,

If you're a modder and interested in joining the Mod summit at the CA studio around early March- specifically the 3rd which is a Monday (though it can change give or take a few days depending on the feedback I get). I will let you know when I have get some replies.

If anyone is interested or you know someone that may be interested feel free to PM me.

    I'd like to know:
-Where abouts in the world are you?
-Are you available the 3rd of March?

I know TWC has some fantastic modders here so I hope to see some interest here!

    Cheers,
    Trish

It's worth throwing me a PM anyway in that case. You never know what can be worked out.

I would love to come, and I am free on the third!

One minor problem being that I am not a modder. But like you said, we can definitely work something out!

I'd really like a list of people who attend beforehand, because there seem to be a lot of people whose only contribution to modding is saying how crappy they think Rome II is and how it should have been in the first place.

That is so not the point of this and I so can do without that.

    Well firstly congrats!

I think people who definitely need contacting is the Divide Et Impera team they're the leading mod for Rome 2 and taking it in the right direction. Radious also important as he has been around and knows what Rome 2 needs to further itself. Lastly the most important person is Darth. He single-handedly fixed and turned Empire Total War into a fantastic game, made Shogun 2 a much more realistic and interesting game for the older community. Although he has gone onto do his own thing his opinion and critic will be worth double anyone elses.

Darth has himself stated after Shogun 2 that he is done with Total War and/or modding it. To the best of my knowledge he hasn't played Rome 2. Mitch would be a good shout. Akaie and Erwin Rommel did some good work with Shogun 2 as well, might be worth nudging them, see if they are interested?

If I were to organize the summit, I'd look at the most highly rated Mods on the Workshop and contact the creators of those if they haven't called in yet.

I would most certainly ask Mitch and Gunny to attend
I am the author of the "Weaker Towers" and "Officers Of" series of mods for Total War: Warhammer!

Wish I could mod a damn because I'd be there in a second. Sadly as it is I'd just be another face in a room, hope to hear good things come out of it though

I kind of agree but mod popularity isn't the only important aspect, invites for the 4 or 5 major overhaul mod creators should be a priority, they'll likely be the ones who'll impact future R2 modding most. I'd also really like to see wangrin and maybe warman222 attend, especially wangrin though.
