Thread: Macedon total war

    Default Macedon total war

For a while I've been thinking of alternate history mod in which Alexander the Great does not die of sickness and you help him conquer the rest of the known world, or you play as another faction a try to stay independent. I'm not the greatest modder however so I was hopeing a larger team (like Surrectum or Europa Barbarium) could provid some assistance. I think this would work best for BI as I plan to include hordes and emmergant factions.

    Faction could include:
    The Macedonian Empire
    Chandraguptian Empire (India)
Manga Grecia (a league of greek cities including Syracruse and Tarentum)
    The Etruscan league
    Carthage
    Saba (or another arabian tribe)
    Sarmatia
    The Saminites
    Nervi
    Independent Greek cities
    Illyria
    The Geto-Thracians
    Cappadocia(Mabey)
    Rome
    The Celt-Iberians
The Kushite Empire (A Nubian Faction)
    The Dahean Confederation
    The Chatti
False DIodachi (Like Roman Rebels in BI)

I can't help but this wouldn't be too hard. I'll give you some advise as to what would be the best way to do this:

    1. Download Mundus Magnus v5.0 It is the latest vanilla version of MM. It's made by me and includes Player1's Bug Fixer Mod which is needed.
    2. Download makanyanes Neutralised Senate Mod. It leaves the Senate as a faction but takes away the missions, offices, senate scroll, and senate tab
    3. You then have 21 factions to work with. This would be how I set them up according to your list. (You forgot Rome by the way)

    1. Julii - Rome
    2. Brutii - Italio-Sicilian Confederation (A historical name would be Magna Graecia)
    3. Scipii - The Etruscan League
    4. Senate - Illyria
    5. Macedon - Macedonian Empire
    6. Seleucids - Saba
    7. Egypt - India
    8. Gaul - Celtic Tribes
    9. Scythia - Sarmatia
    10. Pontus - Cappadocia
    11. Thrace - Thrace
    12. Dacia - Dacia
    13. Carthage - Carthage

    Then I would include:
    14. Spain - Iberia
    15. Germania - Germania
    16. Parthia - Dahae Confederation
    17. Britons - Samnites
    18. Numidia - Numidia
    19. Greeks - Independent Greek Cities
    20. Armenia - Armenia
    21 Rebels

For India simply use units from RTW Alexander, Saba use XGM. For the other Greek faction use THS. As for Illyria and the Etruscans, you'll have to edit/make your own units or hope that someone can do it for you.

    Finally:
USE the workshop! Don't ask people to do your work for you. People will work with you, if you can show that you are capable of doing things on your own. And always ask permission to use other peoples work!

    Good luck with this.

Well actually, Rome was a city in The Etruscan League during the time of Alexander I think but thanks for the help.
However I was hopeing to try this on BI

Rome was independent and fighting the Latins at this time. If you don't believe me look it up
Doing this on BI is simple (without having to change all the BI stuff.)

Simply run the mod using the BI.exe and you will get all the BI features in RTW such as hording, loyalty, religion etc. The only thing is, you have to activate these features for RTW but there are tutorials on how to do so.
