Very cool stuff RoninX, if you could possibly add in region ownership changes in a future update the world would be loving your Savegame Parser hard.

Hello delv213, I think I had a quick look at this already, but it was not an easy task to solve, so I postponed it. Anyway, I agree with you, this is something that should be done. So I will give it a try soon.
Main problem could be here the garrison units types, because they won't fit to the new faction mostly.

Sorry for late reply. Is your problem still imminent? If yes, can you sent me your save file?

this dosnt seem to do anything. but then again im not sure what im doing. im trying to deplete pontus armies so i went to edit and added 9 for the pontus faction and hit reduce. then i saved the game and loaded it up and there were no changes. it also freezes anytime i try to edit my movement points.

    Hello DrwHem,
    a) it reduces the unit strength of all armies of the faction. The army is still alive but its units have no men anymore. Deleting certain armies is not possible - so far.
    b) What did freeze, the game or the tool?
If you meant the tool, it may not freeze, but the saving lasts longer, since may entries have changed.
Did you edit the movement points of your own faction or of an AI? I've just retested the movement points for my own faction and there was no crash.

I will definately be trying this tool - rep given!

I just can't understand, why it is impossible to edit tech. It has to be in the save somewhere, so why isn't it possible?

I would love to try a game where I have every tech available from the start

    Hello Magraev,
of course it is possible, but very hard (much work) to implement, because of the different tech trees of each faction.
And even then I am not sure whether all research projects are researched at the next round or every turn just one project is finished.
In the savegame the information of the started (have passed one round) projects are stored and their spent research points.
If I find the location of the already researched projects I could add the faction specific projects.
But still the gathering of faction possible research projects must be done.
I put your request on my ToDo list.

Thanks - You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to RoninX2807 again...

    Hello,
I tried to implement a function to delete an army. -> The game crashed when loading the savegame.
Then I changed the function to delete all its units except the general's one -> The game crashed when loading the savegame.
Maybe there are still some references in the data to the units which are now deleted and that's why the savegame is corrupt.
Seems you have to be satisfied with the setting unit strength to 0.
    Sorry.
