Lag on Campaign map and battles

I keep getting lag spikes on the campaign map and the battles are almost unplayable.

My specs:
Second Gen Core i5 Intel i5-2520M / 2.5 GHz (3.2 GHz) (Dual Core)
Windows 7 64 bit
Intel HD Graphics 3000
8.0 GB of ram

Is there *any* fix for this?

curious. First of all, id say get a better graphics card. those HD graphics are bare bones gaming devices.

another thing is the dual core. those are alsmo mostly obsolete.

aside from that, could you give some more details? when? where? has it stopped? have you updated HD graphics driver?

Lower your graphic settings?

M2 is an old game that do not make use of more than one core no matter how many you have; thus a single core may provide better performance than a 5 core, if that one is stronger than the five hehe
