    Default Sons of God - An Ultimate Crusades mod

    Hi fellas, I've been working on a small sub-mod for Broken Crescent called "Jerusalem Rising". This submod was primarily intended to overhaul and improve the Jerusalem faction in BC. I've released an Alpha for it, see here for further details: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...scent-Released. Now I'm thinking about going a little bigger. Why stop at just recreating a cooler Jerusalem? Why not make this into an epic Crusades mod? My question for you guys is, would anybody like to see such a mod made? And is there anybody willing to work with me on such a project?

    Here are some ideas I have:

    Factions

    Christian
    Kingdom of Jerusalem
    Kingdom of France
    Kingdom of England
    Holy Roman Empire
    Byzantine Empire
    Kingdom of Armenia

    Muslim
    Fatimid Caliphate
    Ayubbid Sultanate as an emergent faction
    Sultanate of Damascus
    Seljuks of Rum
    Abbasid Caliphate
    Khwarezmian empire

    Others
    Mongols as an emergent faction

    Mod Overview

    -1 year = 4 turns
    -A new and expansive map
    -dynamic script, that will create a challenging AI and introduce religious and culture mechanics
    -Campaign starts in 1099 and ends in 1300
    -New traits and ancillaries for characters
    -Realistic units, proper use of secondary weapons, archers that actually fire arrows and brand new art/UI
    -New music and sounds

    Well, this is surprising! After you make an epic submod, you decide to use your momentum to create an entire mod? Well, I wish you luck and if this is as good as Jerusalem Rising, it will be one of the must have mods!

    If you can find a good mapper with some free time you may want to do a mod focusing on a much smaller area on where the crusades took place or planned to go, that way many of the more famous castles, towns and other cities could be added. Specifically the Levant, Cilicia (sp?) northern Egypt, western Mesopatameia.

    I think you have good ambitions but this is very hard to do because this will require a lot of time and effort. The faction list is ok but i think you will need more factions in Europe and one or two in middle east to balance it out well.
