If this information is already written somewhere then I couldn't find it. So for what it's worth I'm just passing on some personal findings here. It is by no means thorough so if others wish to contribute other facts - or correct mine - then I'll update this post with them.
"base soldier count" = the BG unit's soldier count in EDU. Huge unit settings is 2.5x this number, so 8 in the EDU = 20 in the game on "Huge".
PersonalSecurity: each point = +1 to the base soldier count = +2.5 soldiers on huge.
Docudemons say that +5 is the maximum for PersonalSecurity but this is not true. I don't know what is but when I used 100 the bodyguard size increased well beyond what a +5 bonus would have given: the bodyguard went from 12 to 44 in one turn. I did not test beyond that so no idea where the bodyguard size would have ended up (it takes a few turns for the BG to fully replenish).
BodyguardSize: each point = +0.5 to the base soldier count = +1.25 soldiers on huge.
BodyguardSize is a little known effect, unused in vanilla M2TW/Kingdoms as far as I know, and absent from the Docudemons. But it certainly works, as Kiliç Alì investigated nicely here.
Leader/Heir: have larger bodyguards, with leader's greater than heir's - an inherent bonus given by the game itself (i.e. not by traits/ancillaries). The actual numbers I'm not certain of.
Influence: none. In RTW it played a part but not so in M2TW.
