I assume it's working since when GEM is unabled, I no more see vanilla version of the game.
You could offer your mod to Radious or Selea (leaders of Radious mods and Divide et Impera) and see with them how this mod can work with 8.1 (and dlc) and at last see if concretely it's worthy have or not the last patch to have this mod working fully.

I use patch 8.1, I put pack file in data folder, but it doesn't appear in Steam's Mod Manager...why?

I am loving it so far, great effect. Here are some showing the campaign map and one battle in Egypt/Ethiopa sort of area:

two replays added . with these beautiful effects seen. both of them are great battles 10000 men in battle and fighting with difficulty conditions and a victory gained
one of them called great_victory , clear weather and sunny against very_very difficulty replay
second of them called very_very difficulty (one average army against 3 full-armies) the weather is like the picture below :

and good news : I have started to change weather and lighting for Mediterranean because of poll . a test screenshot , a battle near carthage .

I was meaning that I can add as a proof this mod is working the fact that ALSO with Gem unabled I don't see vanilla visual tones (tendency to yeallow also during nightbattle, usually).
I'm going to post here a pics of a small 8000 men night battle. I'm back to default gem realistic settings. What do you think of it?
of course I must verify and study again how it works on my unlucky rig, hopefully during daylight and Sunshine times

It is odd that my clouds are still in vanilla while rest look much better now. Is this from your mod or vanilla? I checked by mod manager that this shouldn't have any conflicts when no hdr mod is disabled.

I had to disable DeI mod to get it to work... crap I gota have DeI.
I was trying to play the new historical battle he added, you still can't play that with DeI enabled. It'll go through the intro but stops responding after it starts loading the battle. I tried changing it from movie to mod with pfm and it still doesn't work on the battle. I did check it out on a custom battle while using aztec's settings for Gem, I've done a few minor adjustments to his settings.
I can confirm that this mod works with patch 8.1 beta, along with radious mods, however there seems to be bit of a problem with the pond in teutoburg forest

It doesn,t work with patch 8 , I saw the lighting Effects in dx11 files in the pack was changed so you can not use it..wait until I make one for patch 8
use it for patch 7
your picture seems you have a bright area , did you change your brightness and gamma mentioned in the first post ?
