Thread: Should Nvidia setings (or some of them) be left default for not interfering with the ingame ones ?

Default Should Nvidia setings (or some of them) be left default for not interfering with the ingame ones ?

I have a Geforce GTX 660 oc version grom Gigabyte. I havent encountered serious performance issues while playing therefore I wanted to push the settings to maximum. I have played the previous titles with both Ingame and Nvidia settings at pretty maximum and I was satisfied about the quality.
However now I see lots of shimmerings, unnatural transparency in textures of the units.
Ive tought the Nvidia setind with interfered with the ingame ones and Ive restored them to default but no avail. After that Ive tried different combinations with the ingame setings, checked and unchecked the alpha grass thingy , limitless video memory allocated etc.

So this is my main problem I see all sorts of shimmerings especially when unzoomed the camera, the unit models crest textures have all sorts of particles etc And Ive almost forgot that antiliasing produces to much blur so I preffer a little jaggy lines instead of that blurr.

You can see bellow my settings in Nvidia CP and the default ones

    see other thread u made

but as i rule i never force anything via cp. i have tried x2 supersampling forced...

x8 which u have set there might be too much for your setup to handle....32xcsaa most definately..

oh and change adaptive in power management to max. (i keep high quality for tex filtering)

however some items are off by default in Nvidia CP like ambient oclusion and Antialiasing oclusion so I wonder if they are turned down they will eventually leave some ingame setings with no effect ? For example in the ingame settings there is that Screen Space ambient oclusion. Can you enable that ingame if its turned off in Nvidia CP or better say will take any effect?

I left the antialiasing aplication controlled. Here my new seting in CP
