Hello to all.
Those of you who have been following my posts in the threads and forums of Stainless Steel and it's submod Titanium are aware of my efforts in skinning and modelling.
My latest work of 12th Century Knightly Men-at-Arms has come to fruition regarding the lod0 infantry model and the skins for the mercenaries and the French.
This is the their presentation.
The 1st Picture presents the caps with the gilded bands or the head bands.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The 2ndPicture presents the faces and the face protection pieces, those would be either nose guards or face guard masks.
The 3rdPicture presents the swords, scabbards and kite shields.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The 4thPicturepresents the gambesons of the mercenary and French versions, the undergarnments and the leg hoses.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The 5thPicture-and the final one- is the presentation of the leather straps, the purses and the daggers.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Now, you may notice that in-game the troops do not have the belts as they are presented above.
As a matter of fact some of them don't have a belt at all but they do sport a sash instead.
They all, however, have a baldrick for their scabbard.
I will not make a separate presentation of the sashes because I skinned them with the same textures I skinned the undergarnments.
The 6th Picture, panoramic views of the updated shields as they are so far:

The 7th & 8th Pictures, are panoramic views of the maces:
This file contains:
01. A lod0 model for 12th century heavily mailed West European (Catholic Faction) swordsmen,
02. A lod0 model for 12th century heavily mailed West European (Catholic Faction) macemen,
03. Three sets of skins for figures, French, German and Red-&-Gold for the mercenaries and the English and four sets of skins fot the attachments (Red-&-Black for the mercs), plus normal maps (of course!).
04. Four corresponding sets of unit sprites.
05. Four corresponding sets of unit cards.
It is my intention to make skins for the other factions as well, make the mounted version after I bring the mounts to a comparable level and add lower lods sometime but time is sparse.
It is open source, use it for your fun, feel free to modify it and include it to other mods but it would be obscene of anyone to sell it as their own work.
Do not try to convert to dds as there will be introduction of a significant amount of error - if you want to process the textures contact me by PM and I will e-mail you the .tga versions of the textures.
I also intend to make the mounted version after I bring the mounts to a comparable level.
In this post I will be presenting shield texture patterns that I will be making available as a free* resource for modders.
*(Do remember to mention me if you choose to use them in a mod)
This is an announcement.
(Note: While this post was originally made on on December 11, 2013, the contents of it were added on September, 19, 2022.)
It is very unlikely that I will make any more models or textures for a game, any game.
I will be deleting from my PC all related files. I have decided to upload all of the material I kept as resources so that other modders can use it, so that it is not lost.
The name says it, here be source and resource files with which I made my models for Scottish highlanders.
I believe, there are also some files, both textures and models, for kilt clad highland troops that I did not publish, namely low tier pikemen and Gallowglaich.
But to get to those you will need to sift through the proverbial haystack.
Source files for the unarmored version of my catholic peasant levies including files that led up to the final models but were not included in them.
Two packages, yes that many...
Source files for my more recent models including unarmored and padded versions.

Alright Pay Attention!!!
This is a very special case!!!
The models in this file have not been released but I have teased them to the community here.
They are my most recent and more sophisticated models and they include material for a mailed version of urban militia and feudal troops.
Look out for GIMP files that have in their name the words "AllMaps_MasterFile".
A version of skins with mail armor exists and it will be relativly easy to adapt the included models to use the mail texture.
So as for the Feudal sergeants and the urban militias to have a baseline padded version and a chainmail upgrade.
You will need to be able to handle GIMP, work in layers and know the basics for making skins, both diffuse maps and normal maps for M2TW models.
And of course you will need to know how to use milkshape to "doctor" models.
I really hope at least one of you will put them together and upload them for the community.
If so, post some in-game screenshots and leave a notification on my "wall".
The screenshots below are from my take at the first tier of ERE units, the levies, peasants, spearmen, javelineers and archers.

So far only the shields for the Kingdom of Aragon are complete but more is underway.

In this post I will be presenting resource parts for models.
1st: Barbute helmet, a very rough go of mine, no textures, no UV mapping, to rigging, just a resource for modders.
I will probably return to it to make it complete but I don't know when.
i just imported them , great variaty on shield textures the mask and the faces! the only think i would like to mention is that the chest of the knights looks a bit bulky and maybe over-shiny cause of the normal textures. Keep it up!!

Everything in your remarks was intentional;
the detail,
the variety,
the bulkiness of the chest -was the only way for me to simulate larger musculature without increasing too much the polygon count-
and finally the normal maps that were modeled with intention to achieve results like those below:
Thanks for your encouragement, I do intend to keep it up, plenty of ideas bouncing around in my head, just not enough time.
I saw the belts now, honestly if (Or rather when) this mod will be released with all the potential it has and all this detail I can easily see it, (And I would personally recommend it) being used for history projects or in the same way the guys from the battle documentary used Rome total war as their graphic materiel.
Anyway, I also downloaded the files and will check them out sometime soon.
Btw, I am currently working on some clothes for the French version.
The Frenchies won't be ready too soon as I have 12 slots to fill just for the undergarnments and then I'll have to do the shields.
For the time being, enjoy what's been completed.
