    Default pathfinding and unit issues since patch 7 and hotfix, anyone else?

    hello TWC member, some might call me a benchmark , as I spent a lot of times into this topic. Also for Rome 2. So I know the animations and quality and issues like my right pocket.

    Since the hotfix I noticed changes in the unit behaviour and I would like to know if you have the same issues aswell.

    Interestingly the issues are depending on the graphical presets for me.


    extreme preset:
    or maxed out settings:
    - it happens that a pike unit is not moving anymore, while the unit behind is going through them
    - they are not turning around same as before when the balls of fire come down the hill
    - pilas are not longer thrown when the cohorts engage the barbarians uphill, animation is decreasing since patch 4


    high preset:

    - on high preset I noticed that sprites of the dead bodies turn after one or two seconds, lying on the floor, (looks very funny)


    Can anyone please try it out on your hardware and the SAME settings if you can reproduce the issues? Thank you very much.

    As I said you on steam, I can confirm all the contents of these videos. Units stuck, slow motion, and all this visual rubbish...eh but my fps are alittle bit more now, in the bench. Not so much in the game.

    Unfortunately I found the same problems, apart the sprites in the High settings that didn't show to me.

    I'm uploading the full benchmark to each preset on youtube right now but it will take forever to finish.

    Once it's done, I'll post the links here so you can check it out.

    Oh, nevermind that, the sprites do "rotate" while in the ground... bizarre o.O

    Well, yes, I can confirm each flaw in those settings. Same results.

    patch 7 has been released and well it was only a day of time between my bug report and the release today so as expected these issues are not fixed. However the performance changed again with the final patch 7

    at the opposite you get a rally point video with small amount of secs dedicated to the still permanent sige AI issue. I was expecing more you know, about it. At now I think that pevious CA statement about AI worked only to say: we start t focus on this issue now for the first time. Patch 7 is the first small step.

    nope tested it today. no changes with the patch 7 final. But we could not expect that really as between my reporting and patch 7 was only one day. I will bump my thread on .com and hope they put it on their todo list for the next patches.

    Confirming the weird glitch where units slow down to a crawl, as if in Slo-Mo speed. Very weird.

    Will do more tests and maybe upload on YouTube

    Units in the recruitment pool have no unit cards, units in the army or being recruited into an army/navy do have cards however.
