Valhalla Rising... now that was an unusual "Viking" film.
Oh no!
I didn't even know Heimdal lived in Jorvik
Have no one though that it might not be him, but a imposter?!!
I'm sharpening my axe and boiling the broccoli in any case.
Why could they not use the concept of the 2012 movie about this?

Hammer of the gods has a lot of superstition.Like ''oh nooo a man enters our camp alone on a full moon with bad news.We must kill him'' kind of thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=MUrL7GcgHO0
Having been born in Dublin (created by Vikings) and eaten magic mushrooms I believe I could have Viking ancestry. The alcohol consumption and desire to rape and pillage is always with me. Rawrrr

The hell was Valhalla Rising even about? It made no sense, also why didn't the Vikings have some chain mail or padding to protect them from those sharpened sticks that the, presumably Native Americans, had.
We talking about the 2013 Hammer of the Gods, not really sure what that was about wither to be honest. But I will watch Vikings if that's okay with you people.
Valhalla Rising was awesome.

Best Viking movie was in 1958. Kirk Douglas stared. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=Ir-qULjD2m4
Until Tony Curtis enters the picture.

Can't wait for this year's batch of wack-ass mothers slitting their childrens' throats with box-cutters to save them from the suffering of the end times.

2015: Romans say the world is going to end
2016: Egyptians say the world is going to end
2017: Carthage say the world is going to end
the list goes on and on
2060 is when Isaac Newton said the World would end, he claimed he was using Biblical Science or something. Yeah as if those two words even go together cause all I am seeing is a massive juxtaposition.
Their in 2059 before Issac Newton.
Let us hope Thor can stop this with the Avengers
The arrows they were using had stone tips and i think they killed one viking with it, which hit him in an exposed body part. Can't remember clearly.
Overall i found the movie bit dull. Start was good but the dark feel of it during the voyage and in the new world with little to no dialogue made it overall dull for me. Concept was very good though.
^ Yeah I agree. Nothing particularly memorable other than the beginning and later on where those Natives kill a bunch of people oh and the priest going crazy.
LOL yeah the priest. For me the best part was the concept of salty and fresh water. How he at last picks up the cup to get some water to drink from outside the boat (i was like, yeah the guy has finally given in), only to find that they were now not in sea but a river, meaning getting close to land.
yeah,at first sight it does appear to be quite bland but when you consider that it is a metaphor for the disappearance of paganism in Scandinavia and that One-Eye is actually Odin who goes to the new world to die then you start looking at it differently.
