Icon7 Songs that send a chill down your spine

I'm not Polish, and I'm certainly not a Hussar. But the use of X-Ray Dog's song "Here Comes the King" in this video strangely invokes in me the urge to suit up, join battle, and start waving that Polish flag!

(Shudders.) Sends chills down the spine, doesn't it? Especially that montage at the end.

So what song (or song-video compilation) tends to send shivers down your spine? Of course, share nothing that is grotesque, guys. I don't mean shivers like that! Think epic...valiant...heroic...monumental.

That scene is so awesome! Thanks. It's exactly what I needed before running off to my masters course.

Yeah Lord of the Rings has some super epic tracks.

Is that movie 1612? Or is it from the Deluge series?

That has to be my favorite Dire Straits song of all time. Combined with an amazing animated video, it's spine-tingle worthy!

One of Hans Zimmer's master piece.

Another good piece by Immediate Music.

@hellheaven1987, hell yeah! The score from Last of the Mohicans RULES! It's so good I had to learn it note for note on my guitar a couple years back (it's still fun to play). Hans Zimmer is always good for sending chills down your spine as well. Arguably his best was "The Battle" from Gladiator:

Hmm...I've never heard anything from Two Steps From Hell. If you'll pardon my face-palming pun, as a music production company, they just might be two steps above X-Ray Dog. I'm impressed thus far!

Of these facts there cannot be any shadow of doubt: for instance, that civil society was renovated in every part by Christian institutions; that in the strength of that renewal the human race was lifted up to better things-nay, that it was brought back from death to life, and to so excellent a life that nothing more perfect had been known before, or will come to be known in the ages that have yet to be. - Pope Leo XIII

English does not know how to make proper war music; here is a few examples why German is best pick.

I prefer his OST in Blackhawk Down; furthermore, "The Battle" was designed more for the movie itself, so without scenes it is not that easy to appreciate it.

My favored Gladiator OST is this one.

    Nice piece because its name.

    Uh...Sphere... video's not working, buddy!

@hellheavy1987, fair enough. An alternate version of "The Battle" is "Barbarian Horde;" perhaps that's easier to listen to or appreciate because it doesn't feel as jittery or as though it's following specific, quick-paced scenes. It's played during the scene where Maximus first fights in the Coliseum. However, the last half of it does have that "following the movie shots" feel because of the interaction between Emperor Commodus and Maximus.

And yes, "Am I not Merciful" is fantastic. Ever since watching that movie I've always savored the chance to say that phrase in an appropriate social situation. For example:

Here, you can have the rest of my leftovers from takeout last night. AM I NOT MERCIFUL?
