So what's the secret for not going bankrupt? Whatever faction you play you end up with negative treasury.
Comments ... Suggestions?
You have to carefully manage your campaigns. The field cost script causes armies in the field or at sieges to cost you much more than when they are garrisoned in a city. Let your troops wait in cities and forts, then strike quickly and retreat back to a settlement for the end of the round.
Make sure you have lots of merchants, too. They cost nothing to recruit and especially the gold mines on the balkans can net you a few thousand florins alone from merchant trade. Sea trade is another important thing, as usual.
I had a game with Florence, where my merchants got me around 7000 florins a turn, which saved me during the early stages of the game. Later the sea and land trade earned me so much money I could simply buy the entire Romagna from the Pope.
I think someone needs to do a nice AAR with this beautiful mod
It seems it was something with the corsairs event. It all works now
Love the mod! A couple of minor things, the rebel general is a silver surfer and the Swiss refer to themselves as England.
Hello Neadal, Do you mind if I use your textures in my Civilization 5 mod ? (of course credits will be added)

Where does one recuit more merchants?
Love the idea for the campagining script. Makes one more cautious when conducting a war.
Trying Florence as M/M for my first playthrough. What are your suggestions for difficulty settings Neadal?
Great mod!
