War of the Five King scenario submod using Toho's Map (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...Alpha-9-Update)
Greetings to all
I was really impressed with Toho's map of Westeros and decided to use this great opportunity and work on it to release the best submod that I can make. The main point of this submod lies in completely new map and geographic features all across Westeros and while I was working alot on campaign map, there are no differences on battle maps as all units are the same. So if you are a sort of a player who prefers battles and hundres of men fighting on a battlefield this Submod may not be the best choice for you, however if you prefer strategic game on campaign map you will not be dissapointed. Along with complete new map this Hotseat contains a lot of new things that weren't included in the first version. Those are:
~new Strat Models for generals (Credits goes to Dux who allowed me to use it from his Kings of River and Hills submod)
~new generals for all factions, including Lords and Castellans, Princesess and two famous characters from novels
~some changes in generals starting locations
~all generals and princesess now have unique pictures (Credits goes to Korpskog as I used quite a lot of it from his Submod Winds of Winter)
~new settlements all across Westeros
~new interface both for Martell and all other Houses (Credits goes to Otherworld Release 7 Mod)
~new quotes from ASOIAF books that appears in loadings screens in game
~new map of Westeros for faction selection screen (Credits goes to Badger's Dude Fire and Blood Submod as I used the idea of a map from there)
~all new settlements models (Credits goes to New Cities Strat Models mod)
~errors from the first version fixed
~new climate for the North
~and finally new geografic features;

Version 2.1 released!
Lately I had a lot of free time so I decided to continue my work on this submod, it took me only a couple of days of hard work and now it is done. Like I already mentioned my modding skills are limited, not just because of my skills but also since I am working on this project alone, so new version may not look so much different then 2.0, but it is still a lot better in many aspects. I released this submod in the first place for hotseat purpose, so nearly all work was done on the campaing map with polishing it and making it friendlier for multiplayer games so don't be surprised if you get some CTD while playing custom battles - some other players may advice you what to do in such cases.
List of changes:
- no more empty settlements on campaing map
- no more generals without names or traits
- new portraits for many major characters
- all characters in game now have their unique portraits (credits goes to other submods, mostly to SoulGamesInc and his Blackfyre rebellion submod)
- nearly 20 new settlements with new lords and ancillaries
- Long ships and dragon boats can now be build on the Iron Islands (thanks to Mithridate for reminding me)
- new skins for both old and new generals (thanks to other submods, mostly to xXAmonXx and his submod)
- Kingguard and Rainbowguard added to the game (against credits goes to xXAmonXx and his submod)
- some minor changes on terrain to be even more true to the lore
- unique skins for Ironborn ships (credits goes to Dux and his team on KORAH submod)
- some minor balance adjustements
DOWNLOAD:
Just extract data (http://www.mediafire.com/download/g4...kk5db/data.rar) into medieval2/mods/NewBeginning and replace it with original one.
If I forgot on anything or there are still some issues in game (on campaign map) let me know and I will try to fix them in the future as I may missed something while finishing it up.
Anyway this version is probably the last work I am releasing at least until 1.0 comes out so have a good time while playing it and see you around!
