    If you have it on steam you either need to rename the mod to the name of the crusades, british isles folder etc. or use this app http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downl...o=file&id=2824
    If you have it on CD just play the windows-file which is in the folder, named "NewBeginning".

    NB is not open source, I asked for permission to use some features and he said no

    Hi, i am extremely inexperienced with mods, i have only installed one, stainless steel, and i prolly wouldnt be able to pull it off again if i tried, i got lucky. I have medieval 2 and kingdoms through steam. can you please reply to me with a very detailed explanation on how to install this mod so i can play it? thank you.

    1. unzip
    2. Browse to C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Medieval II Total War\mods (or wherever its installed)
    3. Rename one of the Kingdoms campaign folders (Americas, Brittania, Crusades, Teutonic) to something else
    4. Rename the Westeros folder to the name you changed in step 3
    5. Select the name you used from the Launcher

    no offense mate, but we cant chew your food for you. work out some PC basics and follow the installation instructions. if the mod itself still doesnt work, come back here.

    Okay i have downloaded and launched the mod, but when i try to start a campaign, the game crashes because of an unspecified error

    Hey everyone, just stopping by for a few words about the mod. first of all, congratulations to the everyone who had any part on it, its beatiful; the map size is great, the screen dont get flooded and the campaign is really fast paced, the portraits are spot on and i like the overall balance of things. i noticed the yronwood units are avaiable on custom battles but not on campaign, dont know if its intentional or just came along with some leftovers, so i will put them in for personal use if thats ok, also, Harrold Hardying isnt on Arryns Family tree, i know he is from a fairly distant lineage with the waynwoods if im not mistaken, but it kinda helps having him there to keep track of Family members, oh, and i will try to put in atleast Cletus and Gwyneth from the yronwoods for the Martells too as an exception, kinda miss them, i know that if we put all characters from the books there will be full stacks generals and princesses roaming around; btw im not criticising or anything, just babbling around some toughts and plans for personal use only. congratulations again people, keep on the good work.

    actually just unzip mod to M2TW mods folder and not into any of the kingdoms expansions, atleast that is what i did and it works 100%

    i also use the free winzip demo

    Hi,

    Just wanting to know, who would I reach out to in regards with permission to use the map in this submod. I've been currently tinkering with it, adding new regions in select places, and before I continued, I thought it would be prudent to get permission to use it. So, this is an open post asking for whoever made the beautiful work that is that map, humbly asking for permission to adapt it into my own submod.

    To use anything from New Beginnings you need to seek Matto16

    To use the vanilla map you need not ask anyone, Toho released it as an open source (however you should better seek Matto's permission if you take it from NB)

    My WRM has Toho's map, edited to include more settlements (more than NB2), a slightly bigger Iron Isles and if you so wished I have started on a "cleaner" version for WRM 0.5 (deals with some pixels in the south) if you so wished.

    Just asking for a mention and a wee bit of rep

    And I could help with other stuff, as I have already mentioned

    Ah, thanks for the help I also thank you for the offer, however, I have already been working on Matto's map (putting the cart before the horse, as it were).

    I'm going to post in the Blackfyre thread about what help I could use so check out there soon.
