I cant thick "Unlimited video memory" box!

I think it's still part of the graphics bugs from patch 5.0. My system can handle the higher quality, but it's taunting me... Teh button's right there, but... can't *click* press *click* it! *click click click click*

Funny. I was able to tick the box on my 3 year old graphics card, got a brand new updated card and now can`t tick it! You gotta laugh.

Go to control panel and then your graphics card's settings to make sure the game is using your video card and not some basic graphics card instead.

Click on start. Click on Control Panel. Click on 'Hardware and Sound'. In that menu for me there is then an Nvidia Control Panel for my video card ( i don't know if there is for ATI video cards do - but thought there might be). It then has a button for "preferred graphics card" which you can choose from different graphics cards on your laptop/pc in 'global settings' (for everything) and in 'programme settings' (where you choose for specific programmes).

This worked for me when i could only set Rome II to fairly poor graphics quality because it turned out that i had previously set my laptop to use a basic graphics card instead of my Nvidia one when running some programme or other and forgotten. Once i set it back to preferring the Nvidia video card i could use higher settings.

Don't know if this will work for you - just one possibility.

Try to delete the preference script and let it build a new one.

You could have a look at this thread on the TW forums. There is a modded boot.pack file in that thread which has helped a lot of people, enabling them to tick the unlimited VRAM box and use >high settings again. It has worked for me (7970m). AFAIK in patch 4 CA restricted settings on a number of GPUs to 'improve' performance. The modded boot.pack either adds more GPUs to the list or reclassifies them (I think).
