Game Uninstalled Itself

I just installed the mod and played around a bit before exiting the game. Then I started it up again later and tabbed out while the game loaded up. The game instead forced my monitor to it and my cursor to my desktop or something else. I couldn't tab my cursor back into the game and Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the task managed immediately forced it back to the game. I had to turn my PC off since I was completely unable to do anything.

When I loaded steam back up the game was completely uninstalled. I'm currently trying to reinstall. What in the hell just happened?

No idea, I don't believe I've heard anything like it before. I'd bet it is not related to the mod though. It's doubtful if a bunch of text, model and texture files can cause this kind of behaviour.

If you are installing using Steam I will bet the problem is with steam. It sounds like when your computer crashed, or shut down improperly, the changes made in Steam; the installation of the mod; were not saved.
