    Faction Balance Mod

    Quick, easy way to see Factions rise more historically... with some extra challenge



    I'm sure a lot of other people have already done this is various different ways... I just thought i'd do my own spin, besides provide it just in case there wasn't an equivalent. I want to say from the get-go that this isn't 'simple' per-se, but I call it that since there is no better known alternative for giving money to the AI based on Faction.

    This Mod uses the effect_bundles_to_effects_junctions table ONLY with the hopes that it is better modularized / lightweight and can be used easily with other Mods... I also hope this might start a trend of modularizing this particular aspect of everybody's mods / that part. table for cross-mod compatibility ;o) of course, that's only if nobody is using it otherwise.

    My goal with this Mod is to do a simple balancing of the factions with bonus income to make them more consistently challenging according to actual historical significance yada yada...

    This has the added bonus of generally be harder because most primary AI factions get 3000 or so extra income. Hopefully this small income allows the Mod to be easily compatible with various Campaign AI Mods.

    Just an idea... Open to Feedback, Comments and Requests.



    Mod Features / Changes

    INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 
    Step 1. Download the .zip file

    Step 2. Extract the folder and .pack files in the zip file ANYWHERE, such as your Rome 2\Data directory (For Example: '...\steam\steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\data')

    Step 3. Choose ONLY ONE file at a time (1/12) from the FactionBalanceMod_Patch7 folder and MOVE / COPY that file into your the Rome 2\Data folder.

    a) Your choice should be based on which Faction, as the Human Player, you intend to play.

    b) To play as the Arverni Faction - USE 'FactionBalanceMod_Patch7(HumanAsArvernik).pack'... ect

    Step 4. Load your Rome 2 game and Play!

    * For different single-player campaigns with multiple factions, simply delete the old File for the old Faction and place the new one into the Rome 2\Data folder.

    *Since this is a MiniMod - it should be completely compatible with other Mods as long as they don't dabble into similar modification values

    Bk80, thank you for this. If it isn't too difficult could you add the specific changes to your first post? Meaning, which factions get the boost and by how much? That will help us try to observe their new behavior while using the mod.

    sorry for not keeping this updated - was gonna just not support it but i am repurposing this thread to the Faction Balance Mod used for TheDuBMod. Anyone is free to use it of course, but the balance is intended for use with TheDuBMod in concern to income for minors.

    Sorry I have been busy / away for quite awhile... hopefully you've been following the mod on the Steam Workshop... atm tired of that broken POS software CA uses as Steam Mod Manager... so you can ONLY manually download my mod... here is a link RIGHT NOW with Patch 13+Patch14(both compatible) for all my continuing mods... I've included the Battle Mod in all TheDuBMod now, but if one really needs to, they can use BareBones+MiniMods or MaxCompatibility... I also removed the extra Conquest / change of Vassal/Client out of the Diplomacy mod... Diplomacy is strictly that only now, so you need BalancedConquest&Consequences(previously Raped,Sacked,Looted), or just TheDuBMod of course. I will explain the mod features and use better formatting (Steam sucks, looking forward to crappy forum markup lol) in the future... just wanted the Mods available for the weekend- CHEERS!
