    When scanning the older posts, it looks like only the Oda have revamped fAmily member for 1570. I'm In another note, Masamune often doesn't appear in most people's campaigns due to the campaign start date for vanilla of 1545.

    It would be nice if Destin could make a version with the original start dates, until he has made the new family trees. I know it's just a small thing, but it feels strange to play as people who shouldn't even be alive in 1570.

    I see what you're saying, but alas, we are only the adoring public. It's all on Destin to put in the countless hours of his free time. I personally like the 1570 date, since many of the famous daimyos are around and matchlocks are more prevalent. Updating the daimyos and families would go a long way in making the campaign as it is now more immersive. But hey, it's a WIP in beta

    Of course, in my opinion, the late 1500's is the most interesting part of the Sengoku period.

    Indeed. I'd like to take the field as Masamune myself! Though, he would still be really young at the start of the campaign either way.

    Destin hasn't updated in a couple of months, so I'm hoping we might get a nice update soon.

    I apologize for my inactivity. Working, commuting and fansubbing eat most of my free time, so I haven't done much. Besides, I need to create new combat mechanics as the experience based system didn't work (garrison and starting troops were useless). In the middle of February, I will have a one week vacation where I should be able to get some things done.

    Good news: I've stepped down from fansubbing. It was becoming too stressful.
    After a small period of recreation, I will get back to modding.

    Would love to see earlier start dates like the Onin War or the early 1500's.

    But I wont complain, this is the best mod by far!

    If you want custom unit cards for some units pm me a list and I'll see what I can do. Don't know how to mod but I do know how to draw/use krita. I'll need to know the resolution size and file type needed .

    Progress update: all units now have prefixes (GP for Genpei, SJ for Sengoku Jidai and BS for Boshin). So far, there was no need to create the overwrite packfile.
    All units have new unit stats and currently, I'm conducting combat and projectile tests.

    Thanks for the offer! I will contact you as soon as the unit list is final. I might add some new ones, which depends on circumstances.

    Current values for cavalry
    Ponies and heavy horses: 4 m/s walking speed
    Medium horses: 5 m/s walking speed
    Fast horses: 6 m/s walking speed

    In my humble opinion, I think you need to change the units movement speed in general... I understand you do it due to a more realistic and strategic approach into the battles... but it does animations to look pretty bad, I mean... looking at how soldiers charge for example is like watching a Matrix battle scene, so slow-mo xD

    And for the horses, maybe I have a romantic view of them or I donīt know... but I think they are way faster than how they look in the mod!

    I hope you donīt take this like offensive... is just my opinion hehe

    BTW I LOVE your mod and with time if you continue modding it, could be a real Overhaul on Shogun 2, Iīm in love with all those small details you added to it (Sheathes, wakizashis, realistic armors, historical events etc...)

    Also I would change a bit the income system... maybe if you put the prices lower and sum up a bit the income could be more common sense... because for the moment you start a campaign you are in bankrupt for a long long time, which makes the game so boring and so so slow paced... I think there has to be a balance!

    i'm using this mod for a fots campaign as the saga (artillery clan) and i can't seem to find a way to start the artillery building chain. i thought maybe i had to modernize but i got to level 3 and i still couldn't build even a cannon range. is artillery not in the game or am i missing something?
