How do I stop my units from decreasing in rank?

I was wondering if anyone knew a way to tweak my NTW files so that my unit ranks doesn't decrease by the loss of men during battle? I am tired of my men being stuck at rank 4 and 3...

What do you mean by rank here? The rank gained with XP? Or the number of lines / column in a formation?
Anyway, I don't think either is modable.
You could modify the experience needed to gain rank, but the fact rank decrease with reinforcement is hardcoded Ithink

No, rank as in experience. Not in ranks as lines.

Then I don't think it's possible. You could maybe mod the experience needed to get a new rank? But I think the decrease of rank when the units lose men, and then replace them with new recruits, is hardcoded.
A solution is to merge two incomplete units of high rank.

Avoiding casualties is a solution play smart. Don't let the enemy catch you. use terrain, high ground, forrests, hide, use militia to draw their fire and kill them off with your 4 chevron troops without taking casualties

Of course you can edit the kv_rules table, to get faster xp, but then expect the enemy army to have 5-6 chevron units to match yours. Now we don't like that do we?
so this is more like a gameplay que than a modding one.

btw, there is no setting in kv_rules table that adjust the unit experience...
