    MOD Notes: This mod is for Seasoned Total War Vets looking for a Challenge out of Rome 2.

    This mod is not for the faint of heart, download at your own risk.

    This mod is meant to be played on Legendary/Legendary anything but this will not be 100% supported.

    Faction Traits:
    -50% Servile unrest
    +500% Wealth generated from slaves
    -25% Slave population decline
    -60% Wealth from all Buildings
    +25% Mercenary upkeep (does not apply to Mecerany barracks units)
    -30 reputation with hellenic factions (no greek wants you to raise again in power)
    -60% Tariff income from trade agreements (will only apply to new trade agreements)
    +25% Tech Acquisition Time (it takes longer to get stuff)
    -50% Corruption (less prone to Corruption)
    +100% Agent recruitment cost

    Here is what you have going against you:

    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 
    1:The units you can recruit early are down right awful and well flee at the 1st sign of a fight.

    2:It cost Money to recruit and keep a Spartan army trained and feed.....Money you don't have.

    3:You can only recruit Spartan and Perioikoi units in the Hellas Province.

    4:The buildings you need to recruit Units are spread all over the military building tree letting you make the decision on what parts of your military to neglect.

    5:Your tactics are Rigid and out of date.

    6:The Spartan way of life leads your economy very much wanting.

    7:Your at War with an enemy that will overwhelm you if you do not find a way to win quickly.


    But take heart for you are a Spartan and you will never give in for as long as you still draw breath you can and will fight.

    This is what i give you to play with:

    1:30+ new units with varying styles of play in mind.

    2:A real feel for what it was like to struggle to hold on to a floundering nation.

    3:You have friends in Athens and Macedon that you can use to your advantage.

    4:Full Auxiliary system which adds 60+ units spread all over the world.


    But with all that said i need everyone's help as im having trouble creating variantmeshs, faction bonus balancing, Unit Balancing, problem solving issues like how to create a new building and ad it to a chain and tech trees and just general adding of ideas.

    currently not working on meshs so there all just copies so id hate to show you guys 6 units with varying stats. I'm working as best i can on the stats part and balancing Sparta's crazy economy i'm trying to implement(Slave ALL THE THINGS!!!) among other things im trying to implement.

    Quick question. I'm already using the diplomacy mod by Dresden. Did you include that inside your pack, or was that a personal "here's what I'm using with my mod"?

    Don't want to put two of the same mods in my data folder :-)

    It diffantly can be, also take your time this mod still needs alot of work.

    when i get off work next (this weekend) i intend to write an exhaustive alpha test review for you Regoso. You are quickly becoming Rome 2's modding saviour.

    sounds good i mainly need to know about economy and unit stats and units showing up in the right buildings as i havnt even started really on doing meshs yet what i need is a someone who knows how to do meshs so i can work on the stats and atmosphere part of the game.

    just try not to get to worn out iv been able to progress alittle in my current game but its a ground and pound affair you have to be on top of your game for thos early battles as your units dont take losing guys to well and for what its worth dont lose your early Spartan and Perioika units they are your go to units early on

    I'm now at turn 9 and I'm in a position where I can now destroy Epirus this turn or the next (after much delay because my army was being sabotaged the first 4 turns). So for it's pretty difficult mainly the fact that you can't recruit anything but Helot melee units. The pikemen are very usable the others not so much. The income is no problem at this point because every faction gets a basic amount of money just for existing. Tomorrow I'll play some more but it seems the mod is working fine so far with no bugs and doing exactly as it should.

    hmmmmmmmm so what your saying is i need to nerf the pikemen....ill look into that..... and i was around the same point when i took on Epirus i had ambushed them just above Sparta and took out Pyrrhus and hes elephants then had a big battle against the main forces and then took Larissa and Applonia (sp?) i stopped shortly after that to make changes and get back to modding. Did you recruit any Mercs from the Mercenary tab also what was your army comp.

    EDIT: any and all details like when did you start recruiting were did you fight at how many loses did you take are you afraid to lose a unit or are they just what ever still when you lose one every bit of info helps me out so much its hard for me to explain it properly.

    EDIT EDIT: also are you useing v0.0.4 or one of the other ones

    -No don't nerf them, they where in Phalanx and took heavy losses when a unit of Hoplites frontally charged them, so many that they are noticably weaker then even the regular levy pikemen who would have taken barely any losses.
    -I did not recruit any mercs due to the relatively bad financial situation I start with, I want to stockpile some cash.
    -I had my starting army with which I took Larissa, then I recruited 4 Helot Pikemen and 2 Helot spearmen (the spearman are really useless it's better to go all out Phalanx at this point), with which I'm about to beat them at Appolonia where I already beat of their small armies of which one is intact and the other 2 are severely depleted, and the town garrison.
    -I started recruiting 6 turns after start when I finally took Larissa (my army was being sabotaged 4 turns in a row making moving impossible)
    -I DO fear losing my initial forces and send the Helots (slaves) first to do and use my good forces to flank
    -I only took minor losses so far due to tactical success
    -I use 0.04

    hmmm i dont know i might move them to a diffrant building the military_buff_inf_defense one probly as it has no units attached atm or lower there morale by 5 or so and maybe up there recruitment cost


    also this is what i like to see nice bullet points all lined up giving very informative feed back this pleases me greatly

    I noticed that I can't recruit units in Macedonia, I recommend you to add that province to the list of provinces where you can recruit Spartan units, that way you get a clear goal of capturing that first to be able to pump out armies. You also can't recruit helot units outside of Hellas, I would make them a globally recruitable unit since you know, they're just slaves.
