    Icon2 Titanium Music Released

Edit: This has been updated and should now be completely working. To see how to get this working with your original SS game or how to have Titanium music and SS music combined please look at the bottom of the post.

Preview the completely new music that we will include in upcoming Titanium.

Over 70 epic new songs for:

    • Menu
    • Campaign Map
    • Battlemap

    Download Here:
    Titanium Music Folder 2.0

    Tutorial:

    • Step 1. Click on the above download link. This will bring you to the mediafire download folder. Click on the Titanium Music Folder.7z and download.
    • Step 2. Once downloaded unzip the file and drop the data folder into your SS data folder, over right everything.
    • Step 3. Open the "Sounds" folder under your Data folder in the SS file. Delete all .dat and .idx files in the Sounds folder. It will not work unless you do this.
    • Step 4. Start the game and the .dat and .idx files will rebuild. It might take a couple minutes for the game to start on slower computers. New music should now be working.

If you want to have 1(Combined SS and Titanium Music), 2 (Original SS music), or 3(Titanium music only)

Click on the above download link again. In the mediafire page you will see each file is listed clearly. Simply download the file you want and drop into SS data folder.

Again, you music delete all .dat and .idx files in your game for any changes to take effect.

For some of you that dont know how to mod this may sound like a lot of work, but in actuality its really easy to do. If anyone has any questions or trouble with the downloads please post on here and I will answer ASAP.

can you please not to include 360MB of music in the real titanium download? a waste of bandwidth and time IMHO, better keep it optional

Its about the same size as SS music files. Problem is sound files dont compress very much at all. I might have it as an optional download for you weirdos that arent tired of SS music.

I think it can be illegal to do that without permission.

From the Rules tab at the Top of the Forum under Promoting Illegal Activity:

Substantial use of copyrighted material without permission. Examples of acceptable uses would be brief quotes, fan art, signature/avatar images, brief video clips (e.g., YouTube), screenshots, or reasonably limited decorative images in a mod. Unacceptable uses would include entire songs, long videos, large collections of images, altered game executables, pirated operating systems, unmodified game files (except those released by the developers themselves, for example converted .bin files released by CA for M2TW) that are not essential parts of modifications or anything that competes with the work you're copying (i.e., people might just download your copy instead of buying the original). The exact threshold of substantial use will be decided on a case-by-case basis ― if in doubt, ask a Senior Moderator or Administrator.
Please refrain from suggesting to others to break forum rules such as violating copyrights in their mods.

If you have any questions about what constitutes Promoting Illegal Activity and need more information than the Rules above, feel free to pm.

It is illegal to use without their permission. Which they won't give. But that's not really an issue, I don't think anyone on TWC has downloaded the music yet, much less someone on the legal team of a company we took music from.

The issue is the size of the file. Sound files don't compress very much at all. And I wanted to keep it about the same size as SS. The difference is I have the same music for all factions. That way instead of there only being 10 songs on a loop for campaign map and battle map. There are 50 different songs for campaign and 50 different songs for battle.

I tried to post earlier but it didn't work.

I really like it. There's a lot of variety which I think was the downside to SS's music, where a lot of things got repeated. I did like SS's music too though so it would be nice for both to be in Titanium, but some people may be understandably sick of SS's music and never want to hear it again.

    Great work!

I for one will stick to the original SS soundtrack, many a times when I was engaged in fierce battles where I was on the losing end, "War of Kings" always came on at the right moment and gave me the renewed vigor to rally my men and claim a heroic victory , that and "War of Kings" is just awesome

I was going to add the music to youtube so that you nay-Sayers can preview the music. But its too much of a pain in the ass. So I wont.

What I can do if anyone is interested is add a tutorial to the first post if any of you are interested in trying out Titanium music but dont want to lose SS music. Easy to do. Swap 2 files after adding music to sound folder.

^ That would be great. I personally like the S.S. Music but would not mind some new tunes at all.

    Alright.

I finished fixing a couple problems with the music where it was still playing vanilla music instead of the new music for some reason.

Ill upload the new version tomorrow (hopefully) along with some instructions on how to swap between SS and Titanium music.

Ok so I uploaded the new Titanium music files to the mediafire overnight (slow internet) but I just realized that I left out a folder.... So those of you that have already downloaded this, its not working correctly. I will try and upload all 3 folders tonight (if it will let me)

By looking at the following picture you will see how I will have it set up so its as easy as possible for you to listen to whichever music you want. Simply copy and paste the desired folder into your SS data folder and it will work.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Also, by looking at the below image, you will have to delete the .dat and .idx files for the music to work. The game will automatically rebuild these files when you launch it. I will also add all of this to first post when it is finished.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

If there are any requests about how this should let me know before I upload them because I probably wont do it again.
