Thread: Space issues

    Default Space issues

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help. Sorry it's long winded.

I'm trying to install a mod (Darthmod Empire Platinum v8.0).
I run Windows 7 on a Bootcamp partition on my Macbook Pro. I'm guessing you just treat problem as you would usually with Windows 7 but I thought I'd mention it just in case. According to My Computer I have 47.2GB allocated to my windows partition.

Here's the problem - According to the Darthmod installer and also to My Computer I only had something like 6GB free space, and Darthmod needs around 13. So, I uninstalled Sim City, which is around 13GB, to make space. However now according to Darthmod and My Computer I only have 9GB free. This simply cant be right, as I now only have E:TW installed and that definitely isn't 38+GB.

It's not like I can just uninstall other things to make room - I ONLY have E:TW installed. Why is My Computer saying I only have 9GB free of my 47GB partition? Darthmod won't install unless it thinks I have enough space.

Again sorry for how long winded that is.

simple how much actual space do you have? windows itself nears 20gb, etw is around 16gb+, with that alone there isn't enough space

It doesn't make sense though because Sim City is 12GB+. So If I have uninstalled that I should have at least 12GB of free space. Otherwise I would have been using more space than I have on the hard drive whilst Sim City was installed.

Can you increase the size of that partition? Sorry I have no idea about Macs, I know you can with linux and this may be the easiest solution if possible to do it.

It's a windows partition so windows is not controlling it, the Mac is - just thought it might be easier, don't listen to me though- I don't even own an ipod much less anything else Apple.

windows has full sets of rights, bootcamp is merely an app that emulates a BIOS for windows to install, the only thing they share is the space
