    The Lancers should be an elite unit able to hold there own against a verity of opponents, just because they never fought the companions, cataphracts, and the nations that wielded them doesnt mean they are weaker cavalry or wouldnt be able to beat them head to head.

    Excellent work! I've been trying my hand at a similar project for Epirus but I can't seem to get any of the custom units to show up in the campaign (using unique IDs in building_units_allowed_table and assigning to the proper Hellenic building chain but to no avail). They show up fine in custom battles. Any clues? Did you run into something like this in your work?

    Great work. I really enjoy your mod.

    Just one suggestion: Imo, you should lower the stats of the Iberi Lanceari. Way to strong. Compare their stats to other Cav units. Even when they are the best, 2 of them won vs two of my late spear hoplite in a forest (forest = malus for cav). Thats a little bit too much. They are in every stat 5-20 ahead of other Cav units.
    They are shock Cav. The nature of this kind of units is to shock and to dispatch again. But yours have 65 Meele defend. Meele defend stat is not about wearing a great armor. Armor is shown through the armor stat. With that amount of meele stat they can easily beat every unit in the game. Also 50 meele attack is too much. Again, they are shocking units, not stay long in combat units. Otherwise switch the category they are in and lower the charge bonus. Then its a meele cav unit.
    They should have stats like their parthien brothers and sisters which also are heavy shock cav.

    We already discussed that issue on the previous page, and I guess it will be corrected with the next update.


    - I've thought some things through, especially recruiting regions for Balearic Slingers. Since they were only recruited on those Islands, they don't really belong on the iberian main land, too. But since all provinces of Iberia (except Lusitania) have a region on the eastern side of Iberia, it's quite plausible that the coastal cities recruited Balearic Slingers from the Islands. So whole Iberia seems fine. But also the north African Coastal Regions travelled to the Balearic islands to hire the Slingers, actually the Islands are not much farther away from North Africa than Iberia. So my suggestion would be to also allow western North African Coastal Provinces the recruitment of Balearic Slingers - which also would be historically accurate I think.     But just my opinion.

    - Also I gave a thought about the unit Icon for the African Elite Unit. I guess the most fitting (without graphic design issues) would be, if you use a roman icon, since the unit looks like one. My favorites would be the icons from the first cohort (okay, there the eagle on the shield would've to be erased) or the principes (there only the red headdress would've to go). Their icons are also quite fitting the equipment of the African Elites. These icons would look more homogeneous than the present one and furthermore like an actual heavy unit icon. And even the legs would be thin!!!^^

    Ah, and by looking at the stats from the African Elites, I believe melee defence with a stat of 65 is very hig for a sword unit. Roman Legionarys only have around 30, even the Praetorian guard only about 40. I agree that elite Africans are more flexible and extremely skilled, but a stat above 50-55 would be unbalancing I guess.

    And I think, the African Elite unit should be a faction unit, not a mercenary unit.

    African Elite are a faction unit I just thought they should be limited to being recruited in the African provinces due to being African Infantry.

    Due to current limitations, and the fact that I can't add region_unit_resource to game I can only limit it 1 geographical area or recruit-able everywhere.

    Ahhh okay. But I would let them recruit factionwide nonetheless. It's the same problem like recruiting African Pikemen and Lybians everywhere...but that's an issue all factions are sharing (recruiting persian eastern main units in for example Italia?!^^).

    That geographical limitations really are annoying....hmmm...it seems that this guy found a way to add the units to some provinces only (he did some kind of instruction, maybe it'll help): http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...Packs-Released

    Also he added Mercenary Sardinian Infantry (of course in Sardinia). Would fit in your roster, too, since I believe even in original Rome (or at least in EB mod) there were Merc Sardinian Infantry available for Carthage.

    Because I'm still waiting on Patch 3 Beta before starting a Carthagian Campaign I just wanted to ask if upkeep cost for the new units are already adjusted, since they are more expensive mercs. And maybe I would give your new mercs a little morale nerf, because in the end, well... since they are mercs.^^

    Are the Iberi Lanceari also recruitable for the Iberian factions?

    i have problem with your pack. i use update 2 and working. when i change to update 3, i cannot recruit units anymore although they are shown in custom battle panel. i reconstructed the barrack, and it is still no fix. i wonder that the barrack and mercenary camp must be built in capital of province.

    I wouldn't nerv the moral of them. Historically they had really high moral. First because they were mercs with payment and second because this made them professional soldiers, which was rather rare back then. Further were other mercs (not really mercs) like the northitalian gauls driven by their hate to the romans and to take revenge. That is why at Cannae they took the main casualties among Hannibals troops.

    I don't say their moral should be better that the late imba Legionaries but at least better than equal to republican legionaries etc.

    He adjusted the startpos.esf and added his merc packs to the mercenary pool.

    As for the new units in the coming update
    Sardinian Infantry
    Bruttian Infantry
    Samnite Heavy Infantry
    Samnite Medium Spearmen

    Are you continuing from an campaign or did you start a new one. I adjusted the recruitment in the last update that certain units can only be recruited in Iberia or North Africa.

    English release is not all uploaded. File has only ~6kb.

    English version is 6kb compressed, and 53kb uncompressed because I didn't have to pack a 15-20mb localisation file along with it.

    So yes it is fully there.

    Are you continuing from an campaign or did you start a new one. I adjusted the recruitment in the last update that certain units can only be recruited in Iberia or North Africa.
    yes i am continuing. i have mod your pack to remove region requirement. it might work again.

    Since the new Patch edited all Units stats (morale, melee defence, attack,...) plz adjust your units, too. I recommend to compare your units to similar vanilla units of other factions.

    I had a problem while opening it, it said that file is either corrupted or in wrong format, but it seemed that my WinRar was outdated

    I can't seem to recruit the numidian archers even with max level aux barracks in both carthage and dimmidi anyone know a solution? and if it helps I'm running the radious pack as well

    Numidian archers can be received in а auxilia barracks of North Africa
