Default Hidden Roman Emperor found in the game! OMG

So I was digging around in the files and found this hidden Emperor! I also found other types of crowns and wreaths as well including a Welsh crown. I think CA intended to have unique faction leaders, but was unable to finish them in time so they cut them out of the initial release. If CA would make faction leaders like this I would buy them in a heart beat. Going from what we had in Shogun 2 to the current system is a slap in the face if you were into leading your army with your faction leader. Unfortunately it looks like the files that controlled this in Shogun 2 are not in Rome 2 so it's not possible to mod as far as I can tell. So it's all in CA's hands and I hope this is one of the CORE features brought back into the fold because that was one of my favorite features in Shogun 2.

Makes you wonder if they really did bite off more than they could chew given the time restrictions that were no doubt set by Sega.

I don't care how they get in the game I just want my faction leader to look like this. Honestly I wouldn't even be bothered if they released a "Kings of Antiquity" type DLC that gives all the faction leaders unique models and brings back the family tree, faction leader title, and the faction leader trait. Hell paradox sold unique campaign map models as DLC for Crusaders Kings 2 and EU4 so there is definitely customers that want this stuff. I spent about 8-9 hours trying to mod this feature back in so paying $5-10 is well worth it to me so I can focus on modding other stuff and not trying to put back in features CA striped out.

Shogun 2 Had changes in the looks of agents when they reached max rank. Could this simply be an evolution of that?

thats a nice find !! yeah.......sometimes we think we're doing a good thing by creating a massive game and then we ended overhelming ourselves.

It makes me sad that they had to shortchange so many of the features in the game.

Giving free patches that improve and expand upon the mechanics of the game but having purely cosmetic DLC for fans to show their support?

I am guilty of buying every DLC for CKII, but it's a bit too much.

Mike Simpson made another apology acknowledging that content and features should be improved. So as long as people keep pushing for these things I think it has a chance. Just don't get complacent once they've fixed the largest bugs and keep asking for better and more expanded content and features.

Same here I also bought most of the unit packs for EU4 as well. The thing that just gets under my skin is that Shogun 2 was the title that finally got faction leaders right, I have been posting threads since M2TW about having unique models for our faction leaders/kings on both the campaign and battle map. Rome brings a lot of good stuff to the table but with all the bugs and striped out features it hurts.

Looks cool but... what if your faction leader doesn't look like that?

I mean with the 3D head models in the diplomacy and political screens, would your faction leaders head change on his campaign map piece? Or would he be just that generic piece all the time and his actual head would only show on the political screen?
