Include more players in the poll, lots of different players can score free kicks now. Personally, I think Shunsuke Nakamura is pretty good at scoring free kicks, anyone see the one past man utd? Edwin van der sarr never even had a chance.

Oh, and Beckham is a has been, he is no longer even in the england squad.

Pure free kicks? Beckham still has completely insane placing. Though the poll should probably have an "other" option, Beckham is certainly the choice.

i do agree though there are more than two free kick takers no most teams national and club havea specialist these days..

I vote Juninho! Every time Lyon gets a free kick close to the opponent's area he turns it into a goal. Not only he is a great free kicker, but his passes are exellent. Remeber the recent game between Real Madrid and Lyon, his perfect assist to Fred and that's it! An exellent lob to Castillas :tooth: :tooth: :tooth:

Though Becks is past his prime, he is still the best. Despite his critics and faults, his free kicks are simply amazing. No one compares.

Beckham, say what you will about him, but I think he is the best place kicker in the world.

Though not necessarily the best in the world, in this case, I would definitely say Beckham.

At the moment Juninho is easily the best free kick taker in the world. Can just remember last year when Real played Lyon in Champions League and he scored an absolute gem

Believe that Beckham is better just outside the box (20-25 meters), while Juninho is better from more of a distance (25-35 meters), so both or neither.

I'm still more impressed by the third goal in the vid. The words "textbook perfection" come to mind...

Juninho Pernambucano...easily the best ive ever seen at taking set pieces. Backham maybe 3-4 years ago but Juninho is getting better and better all the time while Beckham is going downhill abit, can still be great sometimes but the quality isnt just there as much as it used to be. Juninho on the other hand from set pieces either shooting or passing or for his passing in open play has pace, power accurcy and loads of variety

Good point. Except his free kick ability, his passes are very good. I was wondering why he has not been transfered to a higher team. His abilities should really help the team that gets him.
