I need help guys...It still jams at start-up

I havent been playing any total war for about 2 years now as my graphic card died and i didnt have enough to get a new one until last January.
Pop in a new card and got ROME 2. Was damn happy bout it until that problematic patch came out...and i have not played the game since.
I have reinstalled the game 3 times and it still stuck at the start-up screen in game...

Can someone help me or point to me some solutions that works.

I am not technically updated and i dun know how to fix the problem or where to look for a solution...

have you tried deleting the preferences.txt file? the file may still have the information from the old card. the game will automatically create a new one.
