Lately I've heard about 2 pending DLCs for Rome 2. One of them seems to be


"HD facial animations DLC"
contains gruesome and painful content

Hopefully we can haggle the price of the DLC, as we weren't able for the main game in the first place.

This reminds me that not too long ago, I found old VHS tapes in good condition and one of them had such lovely film called Asterix in Britain. Now, those unaware of the film it begins with Romans landing in England and of course instead of simple order, someone starts to wave flags around because a bird made nest in his helmet, resulting in complete disorder in the fleet where everyone shoots all over the place, collides, and rams inadvertly before Caesar says: “Make note: I came, I saw, and I don't believe my eyes.” That and recalling some Asterix comics I have around as well as the old cartoon films in general, I sometimes wonder if Rome 2 was originally meant to be Asterix game that lost licensing rights in middle of production and they simply salvaged into Rome 2. Think about all the pathfinding issues, animations, ridiculous moshpits and AI rushing with Gauls using magic potions and rushing through (“Yohoo! Romans! We're coming for you!”) and of course the horrified appearance of common soldier is only appropriate in Asterix universe.
