Hey guys,
I'm working on a little replacement pack for the roman icons. The icons are based directly of the units in-game. I prefer pics like that to the antique icons that we have now.The pack should be ready tomorrow or so. It may not seem like much, but it's actually a lot of work. The basic procedure is that I take screenshots of the units in-game, then slice out the units in GIMP, add them to the right scale, remove the overlay masks and add a basic shadow effect.
Took me 5 hours so far. Once I'm done with the Romans (excluding siege engines) I'll add the files and also the source files in XCF format so this can be used by others if you'd like so. Maybe we could make this some sort of community mod to have all the factions replaced, which would be quite alot of work for a single person.

Guys I won't be able to complete the carthage pack for DL, so here are the source files (XCF and PSD) for both roman and carthage icons:

Carthage is nearly done (3 units missing, plus garrison)

As for my reasons it's a combination of missing time, grave disappointment with Rome2 and the unstable state of the twcenter forum which makes it a pain to use.
So, thanks for downloading the roman mod so far (650 DLs) and feel free to use the source files to create any other icon replacement mod or feature
these in any custom mod all.
No permission is required to use the source files in any modding way, but you're required to list me as the author of the original pack and Bento for providing pre-set carthage screens.
