Changing a king to a queen

I figured this one out today. It works for monarchies. I am still looking into whether it works for Republics.Open startpos.esf from the Data/campaigns/main folder in esfeditor. I used esf editor 1.4.5. for this. Scroll down to Campaign Model/World/Faction Array/Faction/Family/Family Monarchy Info Character/ to the entry with the name of the existing starting ruler (William in the case of Britain) as shown below and change the fjrst entry to "False" instead of "True". (I changed the name to Elizabeth there but you don't need to do that - for tutorials on changing the name see the startpos tutorials on HusserITW's thread).
