Thread: Lets speed up PFM beta completion (schema searching)

    Default Lets speed up PFM beta completion (schema searching)

    Lets give a hand to Daniu to finish PFM. Do not spam it with posts about PFM problems and such. Use Daniu's thread for that. Also do not post requests about this or that table. Please use this thread to post only your findings about schema. If you cannot help with schema you can search for the unknown column headers. To do that you can use the CA db xml and try to figure out what is the right one.

    If you are working on a schema please post here so we do not work on the same item.

    According to last daniu info, all tables from a-c and t-w are updated in PFM so I removed the code of these tables to avoid confusion. I also remove the rest that have been implemented to latest PFM release.

    Damn with the forum! I accidentally deleted the list with done so far and most -important- who contributed each one. Sorry guys if you send me the table names you had done (only the names), I'll gladly add them here.

    Code:
      <table table_name='seasons_tables'
             table_version='0'
             guid='a8fa0c93-611e-4d61-8aa3-c83b94138ab4'>
        <field name='season' type='string_ascii' pk='true' />
        <field name='onscreen' type='string_ascii' />
        <field name='order' type='int' />
      </table>

    Projectiles was just about done, but for whatever reason PFM wasn't liking what I came up with. It's in the other thread, maybe someone with more experience can fix it up.
    Code:
      <table table_name='projectiles_tables'          table_version='20'          guid='b3483a86-fde8-4896-97e3-7b6023953274'>     <field name='key' type='string' pk='true' />     <field name='Category' type='string' />     <field fkey='projectile_shot_type_enum_tables.key' name='shot_type' type='optstring' />     <field name='explosiontype' type='string' />     <field name='spin type' type='string' />     <field name='projectile number' type='int' />     <field name='trajectory sight' type='string' />     <field name='effective range' type='int' />     <field name='minimum range' type='int' />     <field name='maximum range' type='int' />     <field name='muzzle velocity' type='float' />     <field name='marksmanship bonus' type='float' />     <field name='ap damage ?' type='float' />     <field name='damage' type='int' />     <field name='spread' type='float' />     <field name='penetration' type='optstring' />     <field name='can bounce ?' type='boolean' />     <field name='can damage buildings ?' type='boolean' />     <field name='is grapple ?' type='boolean' />     <field name='collision radius' type='float' />     <field name='base reload time' type='float' />     <field name='below waterline damage mod ?' type='float' />     <field name='calibration distance' type='float' />     <field name='calibration area' type='float' />     <field name='bonus v cav ?' type='float' />     <field name='bonus v elephant ?' type='float' />     <field name='bonus v infantry' type='float' />     <field name='projectile display' type='optstring' />     <field name='high air resistance?' type='boolean' />     <field name='projectile audio' type='string' />     <field name='shockwave radius' type='float' />     <field name='unknown' type='boolean' />     <field name='contact stat effect' type='optstring' />     <field name='unknown' type='boolean' />   </table>
    It parses the first entry perfectly, but I think I may have had some of the early stat types confused. It would explain the two extra unknown "booleans".

    Since it's already done, is there a chance you could show us "battle_entities" table?

    Open master_schema.xml and schema_R2TW.xml (found in your PFM folder), find the table entries you want (e.g. battle_entities_tables) and replace them (carefully) with those found in OP. Start your PFM.

    Sometimes copy this from TWC can be inaccurate and may cause schema wont work. Would be easier just to upload whole updated schema file with currently unlocked tables, cause its only few kb anyway. Once its unlock additional 3-4, upload file again. Prevents 1000 questions and request and fail posts. I will try look on it aswell. Noticed that many tables are very different from Shogun 2 and some are gone completely.

    try first with tables similar to Shogun 2. For instance battle_cities_tables is equal and also completely useless. But it works.PS: I do not have access to the full editor when I post. How can I solve this problem?

    No, I'm in the correct topic. I have some new tables to post, but I cannot and it's frustrating.

    Sorry! Attach them with text file.

    I've added a couple more in OP.

    For anyone who is interested, this might help. I've programmatically generated a schema for PFM based on the TWaD files in the Day 1 DB files CA graciously provided us. Unfortunately these will not work directly with PFM, as CA .xml files contain both db and loc(alization) entries, and I think a few tables might have their data written out of order of what the TWaD files tell us (though not sure). I'm working on separating out the loc entries now, but I thought I would post a little progress in the hopes it might others out.

    Thanks for helping!

    I do not think that you can make schema directly from CA xml without checking the file itself, because almost always the order of the entries are different that they are in the actual file. I should suggest to focus only at the tables that currently can be viewed by PFM. Your work on TWaD will not be wasted since that if your schema are correct, they will need only a rearrange of the values.

    True, but if even 50% of the tables are in order, that's a pretty good head start. Just makes me wish I could take a peek under the hood of CA's pack file writer even more.

    Could I make a priority request for "naval_units" and "land_units_to_unit_abilites_junctions"? If I knew how to convert these to schema, I'd be helping you guys.

    Excellent! +rep

    Too many to test them so I add them as they are. I've just replaced <table name= with <table table_name

    guys, sorry to bother you, really great thing you are doing, would it be possible for you to create schema for melee_weapon table? i think we might be able to fix phalanx with it.. looks like it has quite low bonuses, so AI doesnt prefer it over normal sword. Maybe adjusting it a bit could make AI put phalangitai in phalanx formation instead of using them as swordsmen..

    Check and download the latest PFM beta. It replaces string with string_ascii. I think we need to fix all the schema so far...

    I'd also like to add that unit_variants_colours would be really useful since it allows us to customize specific units colors. I'ts pretty simple too.

    husser, is it simply a matter of ctrl f and replacing all "string" to "string_ascii"?

    If so, here is political_parties:

    <table table_name='political_parties_tables'
    table_version='0'
    guid='40beda0e-249a-44fe-b2bb-62770c0219ef' >
    <field name='key' type='string_ascii' />
    <field name='effect_bundle' type='string_ascii' />
    <field name='initial_power' type='float' />
    <field name='playable' type='boolean' />
    <field name='ui_icon' type='string_ascii' />
    </table>
    EDIT: Does not appear to be working
