Am I the only one that has the Mod Manager working? If I'm using mods from steam, I subscribe to them, then uncheck them in CA's tool. It doesn't delete it from your data folder so... whats the problem when going back to the MM? Am I missing something?

Please look forward to update it! CA's mod manager seems to be a crap and I cant set any load order in it ( which of course causes problems ).

Thanks to your Mod Manager Mitch, we are waiting for upcoming updates!

Using the CA Mod Manager [on the TWLauncher], you can use SOME 'mods' from 'SteamWorkshop' or 'TWC at your own load order choice by...

    LOAD ORDER:

    • My testing of mod load order indicates that the official mod manager currently loads mod packs in reverse alphabetical order. Mod packs starting with Z will be overwritten by those starting with Y and so on.
    1. Exiting Steam.
    2. Renaming the downloaded Mods on your - Steam/SteamApps/common/Rome 2 Total War/data - to an alphabetical order.
    Example: A_legionaire_armies_v205d.pack -- B_MOD_Ars_Gratia_Artis_textures_addon.pack -- C_MOD_Ars_Gratia_Artis.pack
[Having 2 reskin mods - (Mod A) and (Mod B), they will surely have conflicts to each other. But having (Mod A) as first, it will overwrite the ones that will follow, (Mod B, C, D and so on). On the other hand, (Mod B) overwrites (Mod C)...
    2. Having done renaming and choosing your load order; Open Steam - Play R2TW - TWLauncher - Mod Manager (Here you'll see your renamed Mods, and another set of those mods that are redownloading, [SteamWorkshop sees that you lost your Workshop Mods (you didn't) so it redownloads...]
    3. Just wait for it to finish redownloading and uncheck those.. you'll be left with the checked, (check it!) renamed mods following your load order..
    4. Play Game! (you're done!)

Okay I just ran into the problem with the Mod Manager not working today. You are saying use your alphabetical load order method for now? Z->A highest to lowest respectively?

I tried this. It does not work very well.
CA's Mod Manager does not "layer" there mods very well. This can cause some mods to be overwritten and non-functioning. Or other weird problems. Simple skin packs can cause any "added" units to disappear (like Radious unit packs).

You may "think" that all of your mods are working seamlessly together but there probably not.

Anyone fancy being a test dummy for the new mod manager before I release it publicly?

Trying to set user script to readonly so the official one doesn't overwrite it?

I will not be renaming my mods because of this alphabetical load order method. Im waiting for the news of Mitch's new version so I can play the game again, I hope CA don't interfere anymore in our games like this, seeing that all what they do is somehow incompetent/incomplete work.

what exactly the a mod manager do?

For some reason the standard CA mod manager is not working for me, and after update#5 this won't either, so I'm kind of stuck with vanilla.

Is there any way to manually activate a mod? How complicated could that be ?

Thank you!!! The first problem I see is that you cannot not expand or maximize the box so I cannot see all of the text?
