Babylon, Lydia or Egypt: Which did you like the most?
Greetings RoP fans,
We have just finished previewing a row of three factions. All these have some things in common: they all are superpowers of the 6th century BC, they are key factions of our mod and they were all recreated by Goscinio under FliegerADs advice.
They also represent the current heading of RoP, hence we are very interested in your comments and would like to know, what faction (preview) you liked best so far.
Re: Babylon, Lydia or Egypt: Which did you like the most?
Well that would draw away the effect of a poll, wouldn't it
I've voted Babylon btw; The axe wielding Kikuttŭ are my personal favorite unit, though Amose and the Lydian noble cav are among my favorites too.

Babylon. They display the widest array of troop types. Though I find Egypt quite interesting too, given the fact that the Egyptians do not differ too much in the different mods out there. I do, however, miss the khopesh/kopesh from their arsenal.
Re: Babylon, Lydia or Egypt: Which did you like the most?
Egypt is indeed very interesting as it is an army in transition during our timeframe, thus it breaks away from the usual "Return-of-the-Mummy"/pseudo-new-kingdom troopers you can see so often... I think this is very appealing.
The kopesh is there! The marines and guard troops use it still.

Egypt is my favourite very impressive units it's like you brought the pics carved on the temples back to life.
but I have a question why the Egyptian faction doesn't have Black (Nubian) mercenaries??

I'd vote for Egypt because of personal interests (+°have some critics concerning "nubians" and chariot units), but my real choice would be Ionia because their campaign is really interesting and I like their early greek look, but they're not on the list.
