    they are, but in the east only in modern day turkey to modern day iraq, around that area.

    ramon - its great how certian units are only recruitable in certian areas, the realism owns!

    If they are used in battle can they be replenished in the top level barracks say in Rome or Ravena ?

    no... you can't retrain them anywhere within the WRE. I prefer to see them as a "loan" from cousin Theodosius in the East (a little token of solidarity between the two halves of the roman empire )

    PS: there is an excel sheet in this forum that explains who can train what and where - it's quite handy at times
