hmm i'v got a problem, i had to reinstall Rome 2. And im trying to install GEM again, however when i install it all it gives me is a GEM folder with 3 files (Common.dll, GEMUpdate.bat, pfm.exe) and a GEMSteamInstaller shortcut. Thats it, i had GEM before and i had a SweetFX folder aswell as some settings.txt etc so did i do something wrong ?_?
1: Download GEM on Steam Workshop
2: Download GEM Installer on TWC
3: Unzip the folder, and use the installer to install into main Rome 2 folder.
So why am i only getting those 2 files? And it dosn't work ingame obviusly
EDIT: Never mind, i fixed it. Just had to use my brain, and read abit better about what OP wrote To people with the same issue, i had to run the GEMSteamInstaller and then it installed all the setting files and so on

Is gem mod multiplayer compatible and does it affect performance?
Doesnt it have any problems everytime ca patches the game?
If it is not working it is not because of other mods like DeI or Radious. Not working means it crashes or just no difference in visuals?
Good question!
If you downloaded the gem.pack from Steam through subscribing and hit the checkbox to load it via mod manager it will conflict with players who do not have done the same. To fix this issue simply unclick the checkbox of gem in the mod manager.
(I will fix this in the next version)
It has no problems when CA patches the game.

Hey guys,
Is there any way to mod this on a pirated version?
Thanks
Can someone tell me how to uninstall this properly? I followed the directions on page 1, but my game just crashes shortly after hitting play on the launcher.
The info supplied is this: To Uninstall: "Simply delete the files from your Rome 2 folder: Anything with sweetfx in the file name in addition to shader.fx, dxdgi.dll,d3d9.dll and the GEM_settings.txt"
I removed the GEM folder, the Sweetfx folder, Sweetfx_preset, Sweetfx_settings, GEM_settings, and GEMSteamInstaller, aztec_environment_v3_beta.pack and d3d9.dll. I don't have a dxdgi.dll, or shader.fx in my main folder. I then unsubscribed on steam, verified my files, restarted steam, and started the game, but it just crashes. Am I missing something?

Make sure the gem.pack is downloaded into your data folder first (start the Rome 2 launcher).
Read on the forum rules please.
Install it again and then delete the files. There is definitly a dxgi file which makes you crash cause you deleted all the other files.
By the way you dont need to delete aztecs mod to delete gem.
Some new WIP....
I took some time to update my presets for Actec's mod, nothing major just some touchups to adapt to the new areas while keeping to my original style as before. Download link has be updated and you'll need both the Gem settings and SweetFX along with Aztecs mod.
