Rome and Sparta will be the most popular by default. I want to try Parthia, but I get the feeling Rome and Carthage will be the most fleshed out factions considering they're the only ones with different internal families that you can play.

I think Sparta will be a tough faction to play. All the '300' fanboys will probably be dissapointed with them.

I'm naturally a Seleucid fan, but since they are unplayable: Carthage, Macedon or Parthia.

I will start with the Spartans, not because of 300 but because it will be a very tough start i can imagine. One can not attack Athens right away because of its client state status of Macedon. So the first decisions will be very crucial.

That is why I want to play Sparta, you have 1 province and nowhere to go. I plan on holding my border and build up an army so I can counter attack and begin my conquest.

I just hope Epirus won't be a clone of Macedon as far as fighting wise and units choices are concerned. Well, here we go with pikes, pikes and more pikes supported by missle units.
