Using dead animal rounds seems like an odd choice in a normal pitched battle. Apart from that, I thought it looked great. I'm sure the whiners are formulating their arguments for how this video was a crime against humanity though![]()
Thanks +rep![]()
Mhh there are several new promising addictions we know that: LoS, more formations, more abilites but the battle mechanics and dinamics seems to be the same as always. Moreover, the warscape engine doesn't help too much imho, this video could have been about "Total War: ants"....![]()
what is with the blindingly neon blue enemies though?
The Samnites are REALLY blue. Like. Too much.
Great find!
They are blue when you've zoomed out, it's more subtle when zoomed in.
The bright blue sprites are uh... questionable.
It certainly does look better than the siege assault -video, though they insisted on never once zooming in on the combat, as usual.![]()

CA needs competition.
Is it me or are all the fights too quick? Units route too quickly imo.. Big battles in ancient times sometimes take hours and hours and hours.. Im not saying make it realistic but it seems units break after about 20 seconds of fighting.
