    Default The Gathering Darkness 2.0 RELEASE!

    Hey, so this is a script for TATW 3.2 OR MOS 1.6 that gives Mordor RPG Missions to gather its allied forces. These involve sending an emissary to Harad, Rhun, Mirkwood, Umbar, and Haradwaith to gather various armies of evil under Mordor's banner. Any feedback and suggestions are much appreciated. At the moment I would consider this mod mostly done (with the exception of, say, some minor balance changes) and 3.0 will feature Fozzie's Mouth of Sauron as the main attraction. Now that this is done I plan to begin work on an emergent Angmar Mod with several others. Expect a recruitment post soon ! Have fun!

    Example Mission Completion Text:


    Changes:
    New missions with new characters and ancillaries
    Black Numenorian Barraks now recruits all wicked men
    More choice and chance involved (EX: You can choose whether to finance the corsair invasion of Western Gondor which may or may not result in your fleet being sunk by storms)

    Installation: Extract data folder and merge it with your TATW data folder (overwrite all files).

    Permissions: You all have permission to copy and use my work anywhere you want (just as long as you give credit). That (hopefully) includes the next version of MOS if you guys want it .

    Looks awesome mate nice idea apart from updating this mod do you have other ideas for other mods in the future?

    As for full on M2TW total conversion mods, I have plenty of ideas, but for now I would like to get the hang of things by improving Third Age Total War (plus I'm a total LOTR nerd !)

    Try to make some missions for Gundabad(e.g. missions to Rise the Realm of Angmar)

    This sounds awesome! It'd be great to have OoG be able to become Angmar just like Eriador can become Arnor. Does this replace the existing script for Mordor getting free troops, or is it in addition?

    At the moment it is simply an addition. However, in the next release I plan to make the Mordor's Call script dependent on mission completion (aka, you won't get Easterlings until you have sent your emissary to Rhun). I especially like your ideas about the OoG and will probably do that for 1.2. If anybody wants to help implement an Angmar faction I would love the assistance .

    I can help you if you need help I can only doing coding, scripts, traits achallies and adding new chartaters and using the EDB and EDU files to add new units.

    Sure i also made for 60% my Angmar Rising script, but my for another submod. I can help you with symbol changing, new recrutable units and some more u want.

    Sounds good to me . I'm probably a day or two away from finishing 1.1 which includes new missions and a few new structures etc. After that I'd be down to work on Angmar full time . MY hard summer class just ended so now I have time to fully nerd out all I want .

    Quite true indeed. Full credit goes to the awesome people who made them, all I'm doing is the scripting. Still, those are some great units and they weren't doing much so I figured I could have them play a bigger role in the overall campaign.

    As for hosting on another site, it would probably be easier to just email you the file .

    Maybe you'd find something like this appealing:
    (Harad example) When the emissary arrives to the needed region an event pops up and asks if you want to gift them gold (for evil men or anything else, maybe living animals or slaves to spiders) as a token of friendship. If you do it you get more troops, if you don't, you get less troops.

    btw i hadn't time to look at script yet. Did you it cyclic or linear? I meant if you once get an army will you get it againg some turks later?
