TIME Magazine's Senior National Correspondent says he can't wait to defend the drone strike that will murder Julian Assange.
Time magazine senior national correspondent Michael Grunwald sent out a controversial tweet Saturday evening that advocated for a drone missile strike against Wikileaks founder and Australian citizen Julian Assange. Here's the tweet, which has been deleted:

We've heard people call for Assange's assassination before - it is not surprising that calling for someone's murder is entirely okay as long as they are a dissident. What is surprising, however, that its the major media and political figures who are making such threats, without any possible legal consequences.
At the same time, we all remember about a case of a teenager being arrested and charged over making "threats" in rap lyrics he posted on Facebook. So does American justice system have double standards? Or is it the fact that the threatened person is Assange that makes possible prosecutors to look the other way?
However, the most important question is how should we view major media outlets, which are claimed to be impartial by so many posters on this board, while its representatives make such bold claims that almost scream of lack of journalistic integrity?

I suggest you look up Watts v. United States. Only true threats are prosecuted, and the empty words of a correspondent from TIME magazine is not a true threat.

As it stands the op does not provide a viable topic to discuss. PM me if you want to try a different tack on this story. Closed in the meantime.
