The latest version of the passive falchions and their scabbards:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I have reservations about this looking good in-game:
The reason is I have merged belt, baldric and scabbard into a single group for every combination and the textures for the belts and baldrics are in the "figure" material while the the textures for the scabbards and grips-crossguards-&-pommels are in the "attachments" material.

I hope they look right in-game otherwise I will need to make more changes in the textures and UV maps and I am getting bored of working on the same model for so long.

Should look good in-game, what do you think might be a possible problem?

A group must be UV mapped in a single material, either figure or attachments.
I am attempting a workaround, I don't know if it will work.

    They look very good.

But, should they not be a bit longer?

    Thanks.
Falchions were shorter than arming swords and they had wider blades.
If they had the length of arming swords they would be unwieldy.

Yes, but your blades go from above the hip to just passed the knee, which seems shorter.

Seems like they should be just a bit longer.

    They seem to be just about 20ish cm shorter than an average arming sword;

so I think by making them a bit longer would be better.

That is just what I think, they look very nice regardless

The images shown were from the 3D viewport of milkshape.
The image below is an isometric one:

I think it's the right size, but I'll take other people's opinions, so what do you guys think?
    Should I make them longer?

That perspective is better - knee length is the edge of the 'skirt' - and would appear about right.

Question: Are you sure that the belt hungs up the scabbard in two diferent points ?

Now a part of Realism/Gravity project that I had never the opportunity to publish.
Select the scabbard , the sword hundle (its only the hundle itsn't it?) and the parts of the belt that are on the scabbard and assign them to:
    bone_pelvis 70%
    bone_LThihg 30%
But you may experiment the angle of the scabbard in the ms3d model a couple of times to have this result:
    In milkshape:

    In game:

That is the best values to give a -as possible- gravity essence in your models.
For cavalry models values change. I spend douzens of nights years ago to test again and again this matter.
    Like this:

Remember that the pelvis and torso positions are diferent in horsemen than footmen.
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

Thanks Anthonis, I'll keep that in mind.

The first test was encouraging but more tweaking is needed.

What you have to remember is that models are not natural. In this case you need to put the scabbards a bit away from the bodies. In milkshape that "distance" might look big but in game it will give some reality. That distance is greater for horsemen because of their stance on the horse.

I will try to improve whatever can be improved but time is not abundant.
You don't need my permission to modify your game.
