Default ****Bug report (pls read before you ask questions!)

    BUG REPORTS:
    1. Make sure you often save your progression.
    2. When you got a CTD or an error, try to remember the latest thing you did, and if possible load your latest savegame, and retry the same thing to see if it causes the bug or CTD.
    3. Make a screenshot of the error message displayed, or of the graphical error.
    4. Report it on the forum.

It is highly advised to use some commands to help find errors.
The most important one is -show_err. Right click on your shortcut, select properties, you will see the target of the shortcut. Add -show_err at the end of the target.

Please report any bugs you see.

    Known bugs
Gaels still have some eastern icons
    Captain portraits still vanilla

    Protection Error

    Download this file:
    http://rapidshare.de/files/32168302/Dump0000.rar.html
    http://www.badongo.com/file/1362078

and then put in under RTW/Data/menu/

I installed Arthurian TW but still having vanilla campaign and units?
Make sure you selected the directories inside ArthurianTW and copy them in your RTW directory, and not copying the ArthurianTW directory itself. You should have been asked to overwrite files.

I can't play neither custom battles nor campaign and I get a "please select an item from the list" message?
Make sure you got a fresh installation of RTW Barbarian Invasion patched in version 1.6 without other mods installed.

I have installed 0.62 and got a CTD when selecting Caer Mincip?
Download the 0.62b patch that fix the issue:
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7ROKYIBU

I have installed 0.62 and I got random CTD during AI turns
Download the 0.62b patch that fix the issue:
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7ROKYIBU

I got CTD when clicking on occupy/enslave or slaughter a settlement after conquered it?
This one happens sometimes when clicking on "occupy/enslave/slaughter" after having won against an army reinforced by the settlement's garrison the player was besieging. It is not constant, and only happen when the garrison is slaughtered in the battle and can't reform an army inside the town. We haven't been able to correct it, it seems linked with harcoded issues and happens with other mods. But it can be avoided, either by:

    1. Auto-resolving the battle - Auto-resolved battles tend to let more survivors in the ennemy army.
    2. Avoiding to wipe out the entire garrison in the battle.
    3. Retreating from the battle.
    4. Leaving the siege and attacking approaching stacks.
    5. Attacking a nearby stack before starting to siege the settlement. If the garrison come in this circomstance, and if you wipe out both armies you will be able to size the settlement without any issue.

Both solutions can kill a bit the gameplay. Make a proper save before such a battle. Avoid to load a quick save or an autosave when you are besieging a settlement. The bug seems to be linked with those saves, even if it haven't been confirmed either or not it happens only when loading a quick/autosave and fighting such a battle when the siege was already established.

Also, just a reminder (as i see you're going to address this issue in the coming versions) the gameplay is really slow, i'm pretty sure this isn't my computer's fault as i can play rtw normally. The slow down occurs when i view my whole army. Is this cos the sprites aren't done yet?

Yes, it can happen to have low framerate actually, thought our testers didn't complained too much about it. Campaign battles are not often featuring full stacks.

sprites aren't done yet, but grass can also cause lags.

My system is: 3GHz, 2GB RAM, Radeon 1600. it sometomes lags a little bit, especially in night battles. try turning off grass and maybe dust and all unit shadows.

Dragases, we got one of our testers that had a similar issue. Unfortunately we have no clue atm

For the issue with neither campaign nor custom battles are loading, Publius had this recently. Check your directory and delete the file map.rwm located in bi/data/world/maps/base

If its not ok, try a reinstall.

When I press "Main Campaign" it tells me "please select an item on the list" or something like that. When I do a custom battle, clicking "begin" sends me back to the first screen.

Apparantly, one of our betatesters experienced the same problem, but we couldn't find out the cause yet. However all the other testers and developers use the same install without having any problems... this is simply weird. I'm sorry, but i can't help right now.

I'm not sure, but maybe there is a tiny chance that removing all write protections would change anything.

What is your system software btw? Any unusual settings?

Removing the map.rwm might help. Apply the search engine on the entire folder and search for the mentioned file and delete it. Tell me if its still not working thereafter. thanks.

    Guys, please try this:
    http://rapidshare.de/files/32157600/map.rwm.html

Download the file, and paste it into bi/data/world/maps/base
Its my own map.rwm, updated with 0.6 so maybe it will solve both 2 issues.

Ok guys, I did a search on the forums and may have a clue, after reading this old RTR topic:
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ror#post409780

Can someone with the protection error download this:
    http://rapidshare.de/files/32161070/events.rar.html

And then copy it in bi/data/sounds

    Another solution:

Right click your ATW shortcut, then properties and add -nm at the end of the command line. Click apply and ok, and see if it changes anything. Its supposed to disable the video.
