Default [Assignment 1] The German Alphabet: Pronunciation Practice

This is your first assignment. Listen to the 26 words and only pay attention to the FIRST LETTER. Then write down the letter you hear. This is to make sure you guys are pronouncing the letters correctly. Don't worry about what the words mean, just focus on the first letter. The last two ones are somewhat tricky . The good thing is, though, unless a loanword, German words follow definite pronunciation rules, unlike in English (e.g., subpoenaed...what a word). So once you get the pronunciation of letters down correctly, you can basically pronounce almost any German word.

I apologize for the imperfect quality, but it's the best I could do. The link is here:

Important: submit your answers to me via PM! The deadline is anytime on Saturday (whenever your Saturday is). I'm not strict about deadlines...just please don't turn it in on Monday night. I will have the correct answers posted here on Sunday, once everyone has submitted his assignment.

Of these facts there cannot be any shadow of doubt: for instance, that civil society was renovated in every part by Christian institutions; that in the strength of that renewal the human race was lifted up to better things-nay, that it was brought back from death to life, and to so excellent a life that nothing more perfect had been known before, or will come to be known in the ages that have yet to be. - Pope Leo XIII

I sent my fail attempt at understanding letters. The chart on Wikipedia may have made things worse, I'm not sure yet.
