    It all started a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...


    From the moment the first Star Destroyer blazed across the screen, the story of Star Wars captivated the world. It's an epic saga that depicts an amazing galaxy full of strange aliens, wondrous machinery, force powers, and great heroes. To sum up, it is space fantasy at its best.

    Star Wars: Total War

    This mod will feature a galactic campaign map (see a preview here) with two major factions, the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance. My first goal is to finish the units for the Empire, including an AT-AT unit which you can see some footage of in game here:

    Holy, I noticed the campaign map vid. That's neat. Definitely a creative approach. Never thought I'd see a star-destroyer on a M2TW campaign map.

    Never thought I'd see a Star Wars mod, as they always seemed to die out before any real work was done, especially on the campaign map. Good luck with this.

    I hope this mod does well! I also have a question what factions will you have in the mod? If its based on the Galactic Civil War you will need The Empire and the Rebellion as the main factions, also you could have the Sepratist hold-outs, The Hapes consortium, the Black Sun and alike but these things I say are late into the mods lifespan (after full release), but I digress, I will follow this mod with great interest and wish you all the best!

    Ideally I want as many factions as possible, including the ones you mentioned and alot of minor races like the Ewoks, Trandoshans, Wookies, etc. Don't want to get too carried away though, the priority now is to finish the Imperial units

    The next unit I am working on is the AT-ST, I will upload some footage as soon as it is ready.

    I don't envy the task you have given yourself, I mean for an Imperial roster you would need these things (plus things I forget to mention):
    1. AT-AT
    2. AT-ST
    3. AT-PT (possibly)
    4. Storm troopers
    5. Scout troopers
    6. Imperial Engineers
    7. The various types of specialist troops e.g. Storm Commandos, Riot troopers, etc

    Amazing job with the AT-AT! and the campaign map seems fantastic . I hope you can complete this project

    Great work but it would be little strange see that ground type units will fight on space...
    +rep to get this idea real!!

    It would it be a problem to add battleships???

    Gotta say looks very interesting project so far! Nice to see you have made progress already.

    Was it difficult to animate the AT-AT unit?

    I remember a couple YEARS ago thinking "wouldnt it be cool if there was a star wars mod?" so i tried to find one but they all said it couldnt be done and that there would never be one. Sir, you just made my day, and maybe my summer.

    Yeah that's planned for the second campaign, but I want to try and keep the campaign fairly accurate to the Star Wars canon, so no Clone Wars era units fighting alongside Rebellion units etc. The first campaign will begin at 0 ABY i.e immediately after the first death star has been destroyed.

    For the Imperials, Tie Fighters on the campaign map represent regular fleets, Star Destroyers represent generals (Moffs) and Super Star Destroyers are given to important "hero" characters like Darth Vader:
