This is getting ridiculus, second campaign in a row where these Thracians have steam rolled Macedon, Really? Anyone else getting this? Guess I will have to edit the script to make Thrace weaker

Quick question, I need to replentish my Legioins a little faster due to the endless stacks that Thrace has. What do I edit to not have to wait 4 to 5 turns before I can recruit another unit in Italy? Is it this?
; COMMENTS Legionary_Italica_ug1 / Start exp: 1 / Refr rate: 0,325 / Pool cap: 3
To edit Recruitment rates go into the Export_Descr_Building.txt, You'll have to edit the code 3 times because of the three AoR barracks. Use the search function and look for "legionari".
recruit_pool "Legionary_Rapax" 1 0.163 2 1 requires factions { romani, }
The first number is the starting number of points. The second number is the number of points that the building gains each turn. The third number is the maximum allowed points, and the last number is the experience of the unit.

wow thanks +rep
I have played a few campaign and Thrace does get very strong.
Thats odd, I never get Ctd during battles only between turns
I'm at turn 40 and Thracians seems to be a tad overpowered ! I've teleported 3,4 of their full stacks in the limbs of the map and yet, they're just stepping on three different factions (pontos, armenia and... macedonia !!!).
Herodote sayd somewhere that thracians, if only united would be the most powerfull people, but what's happening on my campaign map is going too far.
Still, this is an amazing work that you idi DBM crew. Bravo. Even if there are many little things to improve you succeeded in creating a very enjoyable modification :-)

YEah the Thracians are weigh OP!
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
This is a campaign without squalor or am I wrong?
Great news, thanks for answering
Playing the Seleukids right now and the immersion, the graphics, the units, the attention to the detail, the music, the biographies-traits, they all are superb.
I hope you add the Hypaspists, except for the Makedons, to the Seleukids, too.(and maybe to the other Hellenistic kingdoms)
Sometimes, the Seleukid generals on the campaign map are shouting "Yes, mighty Sultan" He, no problem here.
I am really grateful to you for creating such an amazing piece of art. Every faction deserves to be played for hundreds of hours and it really motivates the players to read and learn more history.
Thank you
Yes it is no squalor

whats the best to do to reduce the AI turn time ?
play lite campaign, an before to start the campaign unselect "follow ia move" or something..
we did try to balance , keep in count the squalor. if you remove it, these are the result. btw, for the next patch maybe i found a better tuning...

Is it intended to fight every battle manually? I ask because my caracters get pretty often the "blind" trait for -10 command when I autoresolve clear battles like fullstack of my units against a rebel army of 5 peasant quality troops. Fighting such battles slows the game extremely down and in my opinion lowers the fun factor.
Well Its not supposed to be a fast paced game.
Cities around Black Sea which is near Thrace is very developed with big population, if you played with normal squalor then those cities will slow down Thrace considerably. I have played several factions around that areas with no additional mods, it's either Macedonia or Thrace will dominate the area, occasionally Illyria will raise to power
How can I have my phalanx to fight only using the sarissa. If I activate the shieldwall formation they just use their sword ! THey use their sword but can not run. If they are in standard formation, they use their spear but can run !? It seems backwards, I don't understand...
EDIT : Actually, I did another battle, and the phalanx formation = shieldwall. I still don't understand why in the former battle, my levy phalanx was using its sword instead of the spear.
