As usual you can also find it hosted on the podcast site, compressed to the utmost extent permissable by law:

Hehe, I enjoyed the whole thing

The Asterix interview was cool. I noticed something about my interview. Because I was being interviewed, I said "uh" and "um" ALOT. Also, my voice just didnt sound.... right. Also noticed I was making clicking sounds during the interview.

Note to self: Have a glass of water next time.

Good Job tBP. Except... chill on the Curia part.

Is there a quality version that I can download? (like the last one) The extremely compressed one doesn't sound that good.

    bias? propoganda???

    where???
i gave a pretty accurate accounting of what had happened, all civitates demoted to patrician except staff, current votes on new patricians and Cdec members, qualifications for civitate imposition of the new syntagma... oh, and the 3 bills that existed on sunday when i recorded it...

    hardly propoganda!!! it all happened!

Propaganda is as much about how you say something as what you say. Eva Braun in Olympia recorded the facts, but the way she recorded them...

I was so tempted to stand up and issue a slow hand clap... Highly entertaining, as always, tBP. All the sections were awesome, as per normal. El Guapo's style is still the highlight for me but the interviews were excellent. I've always wondered what Asty sounded like

As for the Curia - 'Oh woe...' I thought we used the time to add a lick of paint (lead based, of course) to the various areas but thought you somewhat misrepresented Staff as some power crazed junkies given Hex, for example, has NO vote on the CdeC and Staff were only included as there were concerns raised about the numbers of 'Elder's invovled. Also, Staff cannot run as Patricians. If you apply that logic so can the Senatorii, Divii and Opifex (with a few notable exceptions ) as they are Patricians too. That is definitely against the spirit of the current Syntagma.

You also refer to ways of becoming a Patrician. I note that you erroneously suggest that those who produce AAR's etal would not have their work considered. That is grossly unfair - We did not mention every option - tat is impossible and inevitably (as in this case) stuff gets left off, hence the last, catch all point:
Any other contribution, as Defined by the Senior Staff and CdeC, meriting consideration for Patricianship. Now, that would have made for dull listening, so I can understand your desire to rile the masses and gather a mob to burn down the Curia etc, but misrepresenting this aspect in this way was designed to cause divisions where none exist and if you genuinely believe this (and I sincerely hope you don't) then the amount of contempt you have for us in Hex (and those who took part in the Curia debates) must be extreme.

As to the description of the imposition I concede that the it was indeed imposed but the process of coming up with the Syntagma itself was extremely open and we had over a week's worth of discussion in the curia, amending various aspects in light of concerns - I notice that was omitted from your 'accounting.' No, my friend you were as selective as ever and as emotive as ever. You match the mood of the music very well. Kudos to your Goebbelsian account. And yes, I have repped you. The entertainment value, alone, justifies it.

i do hold most of hex in low regard... but there are other reasons for that right now Imb,

i just get annoyed when i look over your appendix, and see Total War Contributions, but no total war contributuions listed, only modding ones. the current board structure makes my point for me that the modding community and the TW community are not synonomous. you chose to specifically acknowledge the contributions of people in the CC and the MC, but ignored the TW.... the catch all may well be there, but so is the implicit insult to every member of the TW Community.

Asterix... tell that to archer... he does so delight in slighting and annoying various different groups and people here on TWC...

of course, this isn't the place to discuss this, or my other grievence, but in the staffs great wisdom, the bulk of those people who have suggestions and ideas for improving the syntagma no longer can actually post them

    Quite.

No it's not. To suggest it is is baseless. When you consider the amount of effort that has gone into developing the TW side, I find your accusations staggering in the extreme. Yes, we've focussed on the modding side but beleive this will have a knock on effect. Your spin was mostly amusing.

Your laugh, PyrrhusIV, is like a very staccato version of mine.

You seemed kind of exhausted tBP, or it may just be me.

At the end of this week's podcast, the notice was given that there would no longer be a weekly cycle for them, due to declining downloads. Today was my third podcast, and I found it interesting, to say the least. I also enjoyed hearing the voices of some of my old friends ... and occasional opponents ... in these podcasts.

I believe that this system has the potential to bring the TWC community together as never before, and every effort should be made to keep them going strong. You might even get me to participate in a future episode ...
