I love the French Line Fusiliers right now, as the have a bug and are one of the best charging units right now in the game.
Otherwise French Old Guard Grenadiers à pied and French Guard Grenadiers à cheval, their mere history, uniforms and battle reputation. For the Russians the Pavlov Grenadiers weiring their mitres and Russian Guard Cossacks in those shiny red uniforms. I love it when they charge.

Adeo mori servus Imperator Fictus. Ave Dominus Nox!
12 pounders because they pound at long range, and they pound even more at shorter range.

Nothing beats the old guard
Tough bastards
Pfff my jaegars and foot guard kills them before they can reach me. Ad even if they do, it's just to be torn apart by the Pavlov grenadiers.Originally Posted by TB666

The Cossack Lancers and Polish Lancers. Used as shock troops with proper supprt and leverage they are quite effective. They do enough damage to weaken a unit so that the second wave completely destroys the unit. They are also good for flanking actions and feints. Ah to watch several cav units chasing after one lancer unit is a sight to behold.

I second that, give me a few volts and I can tear up even the toughest line.
British Highlanders ^^. Woot!
French Old Guard is my favorite!
Pavlov Grenadiers. Wonderfull model with the mitre and the unit fits with the Cult of the Bayonet. They are my frontline chargers.
Yep, those or the Jaegers. If properly used, they punch well above their weight.Originally Posted by Locke
The Old guard are nice, but like the special one I'm a little too unwilling to throw them in harms way!
Damn, i must get round to playing MP at some point...
IMO, the Fusiliers are the best.
They're cost-effective, easy to use and don't have those fancyful uniforms that I hate with all my heart...
Besides, I love troops of the line :tooth:

guess I'm not allowed to choose these yet, but British Rockets are fun. Especially since they have the tendency to hit your own men or nothing at all
Russian Life Guard. Highest Ranged Attack *of Infantry*and top notch meele combatants.
I shouldn't have to live in a world where all the good points are horrible ones.
Is he hurt? Everybody asks that. Nobody ever says, 'What a mess! I hope the doctor is not emotionally harmed by having to deal with it.'
The British Rockets!!!! looks so good the accuracy sucks on them though
<HonorGlory> You weren't here when the deal between me and Octavian took place.
<Aristocrat> deal?
<Aristocrat> Ill leave that alone actually
<Evariste> No I wasn't. Corrupt bargain eh? Maybe it's better to leave the past in the past.
